I just looked it up and no thanks. Way too much to pay for a couple of speakers in my opinion.

Yeah, the ones I have cost 800 NOK (about 60 GBP), had them for almost four years already, and they're awesome.

That’s a better price, I just use headphones as I have to share a room much easier

For sure. I use headphones a lot myself, but when my siblings and I (or friends, in the days when you could actually have friends over) hang out and listen to music in my room, those speakers really deliver.

That's not too bad at all. They cost three times more over here.

I have an Alexa, I bought it on a Black Friday and I think it was around £30. I only ever use it as a speaker for music or to turn my lights off/on.

That's definitely a reasonable price. But wait. You use speakers to turn off your lights? Did I miss something?

Uh huh. Smart speakers (like Alexa, and the google home that the OP is talking about) can do lots of things around the home. I have a smart bulb in my room so I can just say 'Alexa lights off' to turn the lights off.

Sweet! :D I just realized how far behind we are, we still turn the lights on and off by flicking a switch. We got a dimmer in the living room though! :P

Yeah that’s the only problem unless you can aim for the light switch

You'll probably save more money if you can do that. xD
