Did you know what changes were going to happen to you in puberty before they happened?

Being in a private school with no sex ed and having parents who did not talk about sex, I was clueless about what was happening to my body. I started playing sports in 8th grade and after the first practice the guys showered. I was shocked to see friends I had grown up with that had big dicks and pubes. That night I had my first wet dream. I thought I had pissed in my pants but it was slimy. That morning I looked in a mirror naked and saw I was about the same dick size as friends but only a few pubes that were blonde and didn't stand out like my friends who had dark ones. I got a raging boner, started stroking it and came all over my chest. I thought I broke something. Thankfully there are sites like this.

My parents never had the talk with me either, so I was also clueless about puberty when I stàrted it.

Yes, I knew what was going to happen, but it still took me by surprise. There's a big difference between reading about what's going to happen and actually seeing your body change. It's a wonderful experience!

Why would a private school not have sex Ed?
What’s the point of paying extra for a substandard education?

Yeah I knew what to expect from sex ed and my mom gave me a book about puberty. I didn't find out about VT until I was 16 so I was well on my way though puberty by then.

Eh my school had basic sex ed, but they didn’t go into great detail with any of it... which kinda sucked and didn’t do us kids any favors, because some of the stuff still took me by surprise... they never explained what masturbation was, but learning about sex was what led to me discovering it... they explained the basic mechanics of sex, and said that it “felt good” so I got curious and tried to see if I could simulate thrusting my penis to see if I could make it “feel good”... they also didn’t explain anything about semen, they just said that during the act of sex, the boy released sperm into the girl’s birth canal, and there was illustrations of the little tadpole dudes :D but I couldn’t wrap my head around how it happened, because they didn’t address orgasm or ejaculation, so they made it sound like sperm just naturally came out during sex, and I couldn’t understand how they “swam” or how they came out the same place I peed, or how my penis knew to put sperm in a girl and not pee, so yeah I had no idea that sperm was actually in liquid... so when I discovered masturbation, I had no clue what I was actually doing... my first time scared me, the feeling was sooooooo intense and it blurred the lines between pain and pleasure, and when I cummed I thought I broke something and then felt kinda embarrassed because I thought I did something weird and freaky and then I was like “I’m not gonna say anything and I’m never gonna do this again” and then a couple of days later I wanted to try it again and then I was hooked... then I started poking around on the internet to find out what exactly was going on with me, and learned wayyyy more than I did in class... the only other puberty change that surprised me was when I got hair in my butt crack... didn’t think people grew hair in there...

Yes, I knew, from school, from my older brother, and from friends who were further ahead in it than me due to my being a late bloomer. There were certain things I didn't quite grasp though, until they actually happened. Being told about it only goes so far.

I knew a bit what was going to happen cause my
medical parents had a whole mess of books for me
to read and look at- same as u when I was in eight
grade and into sports I also saw how everyone was
different. It was also the time when I first was looking
at fellow friends and guys on my soccer team in another
way. I had many questions tho and then I found this place
and It helped me lots. :)

Yes. I had sex-ed in 5th grade. They talked about puberty (body changes). So, I had an idea that it would happen sooner or later. It was later for me.

...they also didn’t explain anything about semen, they just said that during the act of sex, the boy released sperm into the girl’s birth canal, and there was illustrations of the little tadpole dudes...

That reminds me that long before puberty I had a book that explained how the body works. Not in any great detail of course as it was a book for children, not a medical training tome, but it covered all the usual things: skeleton, muscles, circulation, digestion etc. including reproduction. That explained about eggs and sperm, fertilisation and the zygote developing into an embryo, a foetus and then being born as a baby. But that didn't mentioned semen either and left me wondering how the guy would know, with sperm being too small to see with the naked eye, that he had released any into the woman. Go forward a few years and then I knew that a guy releasing his sperm felt so good of course he would know it had happened and, if his penis was outside a girl at the time, while sperm may not be visible, semen certainly is.

I'll answer the other point about coming out of the same hole in the thread about morning wood.

Learned mostly from dad. Sex Ed at school didn't explain puberty well so I asked dad and he really explained what would change and happen.

Had Sex ed in school around Grade 4 and 5, so I kinda had an idea what was going to happen. I’ve always known what a grown mans body looked like from swimming and what not. Didn’t know anything about masturbation until one day when I was in the shower at home my older brother joined Me and showed me

I have a brother 4 years older than me and I watched him go thru puberty so I knew what would happen. Plus, he talked me thru it as I started puberty.

My parents never really explained things and sex ed at my school was nonexistent, so I ended up using the Internet when I noticed things changing

My parents arent to open about that kind of stuff
I basically learnt everything by coming in here
Before I discovered this site, I hadn't really paid attention to all this
I did know that at some point I would get pubes and my willy would grow though lol

My FAMILY are nudests so we are taught early on about erections and pre cum and masturbation. Talks were common in our family and still are. For guys out there that have not had a talk yet try to start one.

Or ask for a book on puberty, they are the best.

I didn't understand very much and neither did my friends so a lot was a surprise to me. I had some weird ideas bout boys and girls (parts, etc.). The first time my sperm squirt out I though something was wrong with me.
