It seems every time I log on there are at least 15 posts in the puberty section having to do with stuff that has long been answered multiple times. Instead of answering these questions over and over again, can we all just urge the users(mainly new ones)to use the search function. No one ever brings up anything that hasn't already been answered there anyway.

This has been brought up many times before (and I even remember bringing it up years ago :P), and the answer's always been the same. The reason we don't really discourage similar questions is because even though you've probably seen hundreds of "am I normal" posts, each of the people posting those is truly concerned about their specific situation. So while it may help them to read a thread with someone asking (and being answered) a similar question, the OP wouldn't get the same sort of closure and confidence as they would if they were to receive replies to their own thread, with their own details and specific information.
While it may seem annoying, it's in the best interest of the users that we allow this, so there's no reason to start discouraging posting on a site created for people to receive advice and answers to their specific situations.

I like being able to say to them "have seen this asked a thousand times" just to help reassure them they aren't the only ones and tons of people have already given the same opinion about it. It's weird being like some wise old puberty sage when I just started it myself a few months ago.

Lol^^^^
It's discouraged in other forums, they just lock the thread and tell them to use the search function. Then again, that would be a full time job here.
Thanks for the answer :)
