What do you prefer for bathing suits

I recently noticed that my friend group had different preferences when we went swimming.

One wore his undies wit his bathing suit after and I asked him if he was concerned about chafing. He agreed but said boxers don't really hide his boners well. Sometimes most people I know cut out the built-in nets and basically free-ball.

My question here is what do you guys prefer and what is normal among you and your friends?:what:

I’ve noticed some of my friends have worn underwear under their swimsuits... I never asked why... personally I don’t really get it, I prefer freeballin when I swim... it seems like it’s not really unusual for guys to do it anymore though, it didn’t seem to be common when I was a little kid though... now it seems like tons of kids, especially little kids and tweens, are starting to wear swim shirts

I prefer to swim nude if I can but when that's not an option I usually wear jammers. Swimming with underwear under your swimwear is pretty pointless though.

Not gonna lie, but get hard quite often at a pool/water park :P pretty much I try to jerk off immediately before going, outside of that, if I get one I just try to stay in the water until it goes down :D

If I am out with friends at the water park or public pool I have swim trunks with just a mesh liner. Adding underwear just adds bulk I would think and be too heavy feeling. Now wearing nothing at all is the best. LOL But cannot do that every where.

Wearing underwear is just pointless, worse then they get soaked.

Boardshorts are specifically designed for freeballing without an in-built netting, so just go commando. Wearing something under them is like melting ice cubes in the oven before putting them in the glass.

I normally wear board shorts with the netting cut/ripped out if they come with it (got part of my leftover foreskin stuck in one with smaller meshing before and heard other stories about people having to go to ER to get unstuck). Netting should not exist in board shorts.

For me it depends on the situation but ideally i usually just freeball it in board shorts, for me its way more comfortable while swimming and you don't have to deal with wet underwear afterwards

i wear swim trunks with netting. no underwear because that defeats the purpose of the netting. i don’t like board shorts because there’s never any support so things tend to hang free which isn’t a great feeling at the beach, and of course the bulge would give a full outline unless i wore underwear. i have a strong bulge outline and dickprint with swim trunks anyway, you can see my head which i don’t mind but ahh i think board shorts would be too revealing.

My Bro and I just went swimming this summer
and we both wore board shorts. His had netting
and I didnt. Most of the guys I know or have seen
wear board shorts when swimming. In high school
the swim and polo team wore speedos. The younger
guys I see wear speedos to swim or lounge around
but teens and early adults wear boards. I would
think it is the bulge thing but then there are the
teens who go maverick and strut around showing
their goods.
