I think all boys masturbate at least or at least they rub it by10 years old, the problem is we cant cum yet, but eventually find out that a orgasm or multiple orgasms feel darn great.
Then one morning we masturbate and our weinies spit fluid out and Whoh what feels a little better cause we get a surprise, but its messy.
So I wish there was a way to describe masturbation with or without ejaculate.

Maybe if I was reading this and I was 9 a d I rubbed myself to a orgasm only I could say I was "jacking".

What's your take?

I found out rubbing mine at 9 was awesome a d a month after I had a orgasm, then at 13.9 months I had my first ejaculate.

As far as I know, when you have an orgasm but can't cum yet, it's called dry masturbation
Before that, I think it can still be called masturbation since you're still pleasuring yourself even though you can't cum

Exactly this, just because you can't cum yet doesn't mean you can't masturbate.

Yes why not masturbate even when you can't cum yet. You still can enjoy the orgasm just without the mess to clean up.

Yeah, it’s still masturbating even if you don’t cum yet, some just call it dry orgasm... but yeah if you play with yourself to make yourself feel good than you are masturbating.

Rubbing urself is considered masturbation
even if u cannot cum. You can still have
an orgasm but u will not cum.

Yes. The term refers to the act, not the result.

The Wikipedia article starts with the line "Masturbation is the sexual stimulation of one's own genitals for sexual arousal or other sexual pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm" for which it quotes various references.

It does mention ejaculation and that confirms what I would have said from my own understanding of the word that working up to a dry orgasm is just as much masturbation as to a wet orgasm.

It also bears out another view which is that it has to be for sexual pleasure. Idly fondling your dick while you concentrate on something else just because it's there isn't quite the same thing.

The whole point I was trying to make is this.

I assumed that guys starting out automatically think they will cum, and there is nothing to support that they will or wont.

So I guess nothing changes, except maybe a dad or mom that can explain it to a pre puberty son. Or older brother.

Thanks for great answers.

When a boy plays with his penis, it is called masturbation. It makes no difference whether or not he can ejaculate semen.

Before I turned 11 I would just rub it a little bit then a friend showed me how to properly masturbate. I didn't get sperm until 14.
So I guess I didn't actually masturbate until I was 11.

This is the definition of masturbation
The act of cumming is called ejaculation

Yes, no ejaculation is required to masturbate. Masturbating is more than just jerking off

English is not my mother langue. So I share some opinions that: cause we don't know what called "dry orgasm" so when my friends say "masturbated" mean they just "jerked off and an orgasm ejaculated". When describing "masturbation without ejaculating" we call "stroke a bit"
