View Full Version : Guys who swim and shaving party

Several guys on the swim team talked about having a shaving party to prepare for the State Tournament in 2 weeks, at the dinner with parents the night before the meet. I talked to someone who showed me a Youtube video where guys shave each other and it includes legs, head and chest hair when parents are present. Pits and pubes are shaved after parents leave the guys said. I thought this was strange and do not want to go even though I've gone to the other dinners, particularly the pube shaving part as I like them and waited a long time to get them. Anyone ever experience this and would u or have u shaved someone else?

I am not sure that everyone would want their parents to know the pubes will be shaved after they leave.

Again as I said before IDK why swimmers
shave pubes unless they compete nude.
Ive heard of some initiation practices
where the junior members get their
pubes shaved by varsity.

I've done it before! It's super fun, you should definitely try. You can pm me if you have any questions about it.

I have often heard of and know that guys on swim teams tend to shave their legs and most body hair in general because presumably it either makes them to go ever so slightly faster or at least gives them the psychological perception of it, but I've never heard of an actual shaving party event (and even less so where parents are present). If it were me, I'd find it pretty awkward and embarrassing to say the least.
If you don't want to go, why don't you just makeup an excuse that you're busy that day/at that time? You can still shave on your own any time before the big tournament, to the extent that you want and are comfortable with and in the privacy of your own bathroom or wherever you'd do it...

I have heard that there are some guys who have gone to shaving parties with some of their friends. I don't see anything wrong with this. Since I have been on swimming teams I do know that some guys on the team shaved their pubes. But, I doubt that shaving ones pubes gives you any advantages in swim competitions. It's more about your skill, concentration, and endurance that matters when competing. Having shaved pubes doesn't improve these skills.

I am on the swim team at my school and I am required to shave every part of my body but I have never had a shaving party like that. If a friend of mine really needed the help shaving I would probably help but most of my friends don't have a problem doing it.

Never heard of a shaving party before, I mean I know guys pretty much have to shave everything when they swim, but never heard of a party though... idk it might be a cool bonding experience but it would be creepy as hell having parents watching, even if they do leave for pube shaving...

I agree. Its what I have been saying. IDK really if they want
to shave everything Im sure it is a great bonding event. I never
heard of the party thing but Im sure it is fun. :)

I agree with you, Andy. Having never been to a shaving party myself, I only can imagine that it can turn into a lot of fun depending on the outcome of the shaving.

Unless you swim nude I don’t see any reason to shave down there...
Sounds weird

Well some of us are nudist or know certain girls like us smooth all over
Yes shaving parties are a thing, girls do it too
Usually everywhere gets shaved because it’s kind of a crazy dare and silly fun - already nude in the showers together and once everywhere else is smooth - hair around your junk looks really out of place
