Guys - Is shaving armpit hair common?

It seems I'm seeing more and more guys shaving their pits. I'm a HS senior and that has not been common in my class, but I recently ended up in the locker room with loads of 10th graders and I'd say more than half of them had smooth armpits.
How common is this in your school?

When I was in HS it wasn't very common in my area for anyone to shave any pits or pubes. A lot of guys trimmed their pubes but that was the most common thing to do.

Used to be you can tell who has pubes if he has armpit hair. Now they shave their pits and pubes. I thought only girls shave their arm pits.

When I was in high school many of the

looks better than bare pits.

There are a few in my school but not many. I know the group of guys that I run around with will trim both pit and pubes, but not shave......

It's somewhat common from what I've seen. Usually, the boys who shave their pubes shave their armpits too. (Like I do.)

The only people that I know that shave their armpits are the people on the swim team with me. I would say 99% of the other guys I have seen without a shirt don't shave.

Not really common here outside of the swimmers and wrestlers... I trim mine a little to keep it neat but definitely don’t shave it, I mean people should do whatever they like and whatever feels/looks best to them, but honestly when you see a post-pubescent guy without pit hair, it is a little surprising sometimes lol

Where I am most guys don't shave their armpits but a few do

Been swimming for about 3 years now. And yes people so make sure that we are all shaved.

I swim in the summer as well so I do keep them shaved. I dont really have hair anywhere else so I dont think I would have a lot of pubes.

I keep mine shaved for 3 reasons.
1. Less odor
2. I like the clean shaved feeling.
3. I am muscular and it helps with the look.

It's all personal choice. Shaving can be tedious. I have entertained getting a ILP device for permanent removal.

I've always heard of girls their pubes and in recent years boys shaving their pubes has become more common, guys shaving their faces, and girls shaving their legs and armpits. I know my 13 year old cousin shaves his pubes. Maybe guys shaving their armpits is the new trend.

I swim competitively and never shave under arms really. Maybe trim a little there and down there , and shave my legs occasionally that's it. Of course im not very hairy either., but like to have some.

I mean i get even if they want to shave it but some poeple think its disgusting but i think guys are suppose to have hair as long as its maintained and under control its natural and masculine.

I trim mine, about a 2 on my razor. It keeps it there but isn't long and nasty.

Manscaping as a whole is more common nowadays. It looks good on a certain kind of guy but I've never done anything to my armpit hair.

I think its about 50/50. I shave my armpit hairs time to time, just tt feel more comfortable myself.
But if you wodering what others do, dont. Do the thing that works for you, because it your armpits not mine or someone elses.
I would say that you should try to shave them and then you will know if its working for you ;)

In Europe, probably everyone shaves armpit, me too. So for me it's kinda strange, that teens in US have real bushes in the armpit area.

IDK. I don't have any yet. I'll check in the locker room. I'm used to looking at the other boys penis, nuts and pubes.

I loath my body hair, it is thick and dark and feels like a damn sweatshirt in the summer. Not to mention the body odor is intolerable regardless how much I shower. I I have had it all removed. I feel more comfortable about my body and could be happier about it.

Seems like no one I know has done that. On the guys around my age I've noticed with pit hair, they haven't shaved it.

My brother shaves his stomach hair, but leaves his pit hair. I don't know why. lol
