Don't feel bad. I didn't stop wetting the bed completely until a year ago. I usually just tried not to drink anything in the couple hours before I went to bed.

Aside from waterproof plastic sheets, nothing really. I tried to wash my clothes as soon as possible.

I see. Not sure if I'm the only one using Pampers for bedwetting?

I didn't, but I know for a fact that you're not the only one.

You know of others who did the same? Can you introduce them to me? I'm new here lol

Might wanna try the autism subforum. Bedwetting can be a problem for people with autism sometimes.

I used to have bad bedwetting problems. From the age of 6 to 16. I kid you not. For me, I tried a lot of things, including a "Pad and bell". Nothing worked. But, I learned to pee right before I go to sleep. Even if I don't feel like it, I go and do what I can. It started to happen less and less, and eventually I just ended up waking up when I needed to go. The only advice I can really give you is that it should clear up as you go through puberty more, and just to empty your bladder every night. You could see a doctor though, the Pad and bell didn't work for me, but apparently it does work.

I think this could help if there's a possibility of it being stress related

It's the same as why people end up wetting themselves in work I think cos my mum said someone did that where she works

I always go right before jumping into bed so I avoid it :kitty:

I just read the Wikipedia article on bedwetting. It says there are two main types, Primary and Secondary. It's primary if you've been doing it your whole life, and you'll probably just have to wait it out and it'll stop on it's own. But if you've stopped for more than six months and then started back up again, it's most likely caused by a psychological problem like stress, and you might wanna see a doctor or therapist of some sort.

Yeah exactly. Bed wetting itself is not an issue (outside of that it sucks), but why is there bed wetting? Mine was always primary. Just part of my neurological mess package. But when someone suddenly starts at 11, then it's like why? What made it start?

I see. Not sure if I'm the only one using Pampers for bedwetting?

Pampers are as good as anything else. As long as they fit and do the job, that all that matters. I having a mental block on the brand I use. Which I still wear on trips, because upsets in routine like that can trigger it. And would rather not take the chance of wetting a guest room or hotel bed.

I'm not sure whether it could be a genetic thing? My twin sister wets as well, but the difference is that I stopped wetting for a few years before starting again at 11 while she didn't really stop at all.

Secondary bedwetting(stopping for an expanded period of time) usually has an external cause like stress or trauma. At least, that's what wikipedia says. And it looked like a very well written article.

Had tablets for camps, etc. Took them a few days before as well as while on camp(/etc) and it was almost guaranteed i wouldn't. You could only take them for a week or so straight though, after that they can harm your body. Other than that, plastic mattress protectors and my amazing mum helping me wash everything almost every day :D

Stopped completely (naturally, no real products) when i was about 13/14.

Yeah I used to wet at night til I was 12. I had to wear padded knickers to bed. Sometimes I didn't and I ended up wetting the bed. It was only bad when I wet the bed at a sleepover at my friends house when I'd just turned 12 cause I didnt have any padded knickers on just my pijamas and I wet the bed at her house. but it was ok.

i used to for a while. it got less & less by the time i was 10. my dr. put me on this nasal spray idk what it was called, but it def helped me. maybe if you ask your dr. about it he will know what its called. other ways to reduce the risk is limit the amount you drink 2-3 hours before you go to bed and dont drink anything with caffeine before you go to bed.
