Yes post surgery hurts some , but manageable. It’s uncomfortable more than pain.
Mine was for medical reasons and yes wanking is different and yes you do lose sensitivity

Mine wasn't much painful afterwards. It was discomfortable but with tight underwear, it was fine. The sensitivity decreased, but not that much.
