How has your use of the puberty forum changed as u have gotten older?
When i joined at 13 I found I was making more posts to see if I was normal or how I compared. I would also talk to many more people to compare experiences and these people no longer come to the site. At 15 I now post more to help others so they feel they are normal.

I just kinda look around and not post too much. I used to post whenever I could.

Only been on here a year but things are definitely different now.
Tbh the puberty bits are the places i went to first but there us a limit to the number of times you want to read surveys about dick sizes etc. I normally just go to the new posts bit now to see whats happening. Often there arent really new threads i want to post in.

I joined at 16 and was well over half way of puberty so I knew quite a bit by experience already. That allowed me to help and answer many of the younger people's questions on here. Both boys and girls. I also learned a few things on here too. I am honored to be of help on here to anyone so feel free to message me with any questions or problems. I enjoy my time spent on here.

I think what you're feeling is true of most people. The puberty forums bring the most traffic to the site and a lot of people join when they're worried about feeling "normal".

I agree with this a lot. I feel like now there are a lot more people straight up asking about whether they are normal instead of actually browsing or reading polls to find out for themselves.

I only cared about my penis when I first joined.

I used to use VT a lot when I joined but partially boredom of the same old threads and partially because traffic has died here I barely post at all, even if I'm on

as i've gotten older, i've gone from asking questions to answering them

I'd say same, I joined at 16 looking for other teens that could relate to my issues
Right now I think I like to see the posts of younger guys and remember when I was that age

I'm relieved to hear it. ;)
But back to the question; I wrote more posts, mostly in the puberty forum in my early days, mainly to reach 100 posts fairly quickly. But I've always quite enjoyed giving my opinions and trying to help boys a bit less advanced through puberty than I am.

The only threads I don't participate in are those that ask about dick size. They are repetitive and boring. Otherwise, I will try and answer the threads that I feel have the most interest for everyone.

Honestly, I am not very active here as much as I was 2 years ago. I think there's way too many repetitive and not very puberty related questions here such as underwear, nudity, a lot of penis related questions, etc.
I'm a moderator of r/puberty (http://reddit.com/r/puberty), which I also use more now.

Yeah I think my use of the forums has definitely changed a lot... I started out here as a 17 year old, still kinda shy about body changes and around girls... and now I’m a just turned 22-year old guy who is entering his last half of a semester at college... I kinda feel like more of a big brother at this point... I don’t feel as shy and insecure as I did, and I have really done a lot of growing up since I’ve been here... I feel more confident in my body now that it is starting to look more like a man than a boy’s... I’ve done a lot since I’ve got here, graduated high school, gone to college, lost my virginity, entered into a committed, “grown-up” relationship, gotten a couple of jobs, and finally a full time job, etc. I still like this place and post here but I wish it was more active, although I admittedly don’t have as much time to post here anymore either. I still kinda sometimes go back and forth between feeling like a kid and feeling like a man but the grown-up side is starting to win out more often now... I guess I am more into helping out and giving advice these days as opposed to asking for help I’m definitely thinking more about the future than I ever used to, I really feel like the girl I’m with now is “the one” and even though marriage isn’t on the immediate horizon, I can’t imagine my life without her... and in all honestly we stopped using protection back in October, so I’m preparing for the real possibility that she could become pregnant in the future... it’s not that we are trying for it, but we just aren’t really preventing it either. We are just having fun being a couple and enjoying being together and taking life as it comes :)

It seems clear to me that most people post quickly to start with, so they can reach 100 messages as soon as possible to open up private messaging. Then we tend to get more selective,. more thoughtful and slow down. And of course as we advance through adolescence our needs change, so many of us get less involved in the "mechanics" of puberty and more interested in other topics.
