So my penis here and there would sting and smell, and I asked the doctor and he gave me cream. It helped, he said it was a yeast infection. It did it again, but this time I looked more into it myself and moved my foreskin only to see a giant layer of this white cheese-like substance (which I think is called smegma?). I've briefly washed "there" before, but I've never gone through it properly.. so how do I clean my penis properly to avoid this smegma? I usually use a flannel and I bathe, so what can I do? Just then I used the flannel to gently wipe all the smegma (that I could see) off but it sort of stung a bit. How far do I pull the foreskin back? Help!

I have an uncircumcised friend that I've showered with in gym showers before who simply pulls it back as far as it will go and cleans in the area with his bare hands.

Every day I pull the foreskin all the way back, wash it with soap with my fingers and then rise it off. Then I dry it with the skin pulled back, before sliding the skin back down. That's how I was taught by my parents to take care of it. I have never had smegma.

This the same way I clean mine. I don't use a cloth just my fingers and it stays very clean doing it every day.

If I touch the head with my finger it stings, though?

Try to keep the foreskin back for a while. That should make it less sensitive.

If you do it every day the sting will go away

it stings because of the yeast infection. you need to clean it everyday and use the cream if you still have some. if you don't, you can use a cream from the store, one that you'd use for jock itch or athletes foot. once the yeast infection is all healed up, it won't hurt or sting anymore. until it's healed you need to clean it with soap and water everyday. then continue cleaning it daily after that.

I am uncut and I shower and clean it everyday and have had no problems with it. I start with a shower while in cleaning the rest on my body I rub soap in my hands and get then all soapy then I pull my foreskin back all the way and almost like jerking on your head wash it rinse right after or soap will get into your urethra and you will feel burningall the time and you will barely be able to pee or jizz

So last night I removed all the smegma as I pulled the foreskin as far back as possible, I woke up and checked it and there was nothing there but after going out there is more smegma there? Do I just have to keep cleaning it every day until it starts to go?

Daily. Pull foreskin back and wash with water.

Idea, just spray water on your penis when you're showering, and rub your dick. Dunno why I thought of that, but was thinking that water can lubricate the yeast, and rubbing will make it loosen up.

Pull the foreskin back, and wash/rinse the head.

Yes, as you've mentioned that is Smegma. It is VERY smelly and extremely unhygienic. Smegma occurs when you do not wash well under your foreskin and can grow infections and is overall not healthy at all. It's important to pull your foreskin ALL the way back to make sure you can wash everywhere under there really well. It's important to take showers every day and wash there thoroughly. Hope this helps! Within a week or two you should start noticing the smell going away. :)
