Another thread on Linksys router help

Ok, right now i have the Linksys wireless g router v3. I got it so i could connect my ps2 to the internet, but right now i dont have enough money to buy the adapter.
Anyways, i brought the ps2 into my room and connected it to the router. I tryed to play nascar online, and it starts to connect, but then its almost like that router doesnt see the ps2 anymore, and then the game says the internet connection got interupted.
Everything is connected nice and tight, and there is a connection, because the slot 2 light is on. Got any ideas?
btw, i have my computer in slot 1.

I don't own a PS2, so I have no idea :? You might need a subscription for the online connectivity (or the game). Check that first.

linksys has a 24/7 LIVE chat support. try that :D

PS2 internet access does not require a subscription. Thats only XBOX. Altho, this does work when I hook it up strait from the modem.

u need to hoock up a linksys modem to ur ps2..that way the inter net has some were to go...

you sure the ps2 is getting an ip from the router?
idk, when it does a DNS autorization, it works, but then when the game tryes to connect to the internet, or its server or whatever, its almost like it gets dropped.

sometimes it does that to me with my xbox, and laptop, just unhook the power button on the router, and then turn of the computer and start it up, while it's turning on plug in the power switch.
