Getting a physical next week?

What types of things will the end up making me do? I also have a female doctor so I'm not sure if that makes it any better or worse. I get that it will end up being uncomfortable.

They don't really make you do anything in a physical. Maybe check your reflexes or your balance. But mostly its the doctor checking your lungs, heart, spine, and seeing that your skin looks ok. It is really not that big of a deal. Don't stress over it.

If it is a sport physics they may check for a hernia but it’s no big deal.

It's really not that bad. My friend just had his 14 year check up and the doctor didn't even look at his junk.

I had the above, plus had to spread butt cheeks. Was checked for hemorrhoids, guess you can get them from lifting weights

I have a female doctor too. It's no big deal to have a physical by a woman. They will probably do the usual. Height, weight, temperature,take a urine sample,listen to your heart and lungs. Check your reflexes and check for hernia. If you are uncut they will probably retract your foreskin. Ask you if you have any problems or questions. That's the kind of physical I have anyway.

I just got one somewhat recently for the first time since I was like a toddler. They did check me junk and my doc is male but I was still uncomfortable. Is that the part you're worried about?

All of the above but if it is for
sports u will get checked for a
hernia. Be prepared to have the
doctor cup ur junk and ask u to
turn ur head and cough. If u get
a boner then excuse urself. It will
b over quick-don't worry. Ur penis
maybe wont even b checked.

You’ll be fine, you shouldn’t be nervous since your doctor probably sees hundreds of boys a year and really doesn’t care about anything else besides making sure you’re healthy.

I had it today and didn't even have to get my penis looked at , just had to pee in a cup which was kinda bad because I missed the cup and pee'd on my hand and got my blood drawn.

True. They will check you for hernias and for any issues with your scrotum. That part of the exam should be quick.

had mine. She checked ears, eyes, heart, lungs, spine (touch toes) reflexes, hernia and foreskin retraction. First time I had her for a check up, my other doc didn't worry about my foreskin cause he knew it was went back OK

In my physicals for scouts they just do the usual stuff, check your height, weight, temperature, lungs, breathing, genital exam, and stuff like that. I've never had a rectal exam that I can remember. Last month I went with my cousin who had just turned 13 to his checkup with his pediatrician and they did the same thing as I described plus they had him pee in a cup.

It is usually the normal way...You keep dressed while the doc asks qustions, and then you are asked to strip to your undies and they check ur weight examine your chest, tummy and genitals...
My last one was a bit odd as I foolishly said I have constipation..so the doc (I had the lady doc, female nurse and my mom in the room) got me to roll over to a side, keep one leg bent over the other and examined my rectum....(with a gelled gloved finger)....That was pretty embarrasing.

Its no big deal, you will take off your top, socks and shoes, maybe given paper shorts to put on, or just leave on your underware but at some time you will undress, all boys have done this, you= not the first one. And girl doctors are the best, they have a soft touch.
