View Full Version : A question for guys about wet dreams

Pultost
August 16th, 2019, 09:02 AM
So I've been wondering, people are different and all that, and I know that not all boys have wet dreams, but for those who do, I'm curious about this one little thing. Do you usually wake up as you ejaculate, or do you normally just wake up to the aftermath?

Let's hear it!

Not everyone gets them that’s for sure. I don’t get many but when I do I usually wake up just as I’m ejaculating. Also usually I’m not having an orgasm. Which sucks

I have it happen both ways. But, most of the time I wake up all messy wet. If my wet dream is very intensive it will wake me just before I am ejaculating or during ejaculation.

I've only had two wet dreams in my life, and they were both right about the time I was starting to masturbate.
For the first one, I woke up in the morning shocked to find a big wet spot on the sheet. I thought I had peed the bed but I could tell it wasn't pee becasue it didn't smell like urine. It smelled exactly like cum!
My second wet dream WAS during a dream. I was dreaming that a girl wanted to have sex with me (I was 13) and in my dream I was sliding myself in and I woke up and I was ejaculating! So for that one I really think the dream caused the ejaculation, and it was so strong that it woke me up while it as still squirting.

That sounds likely, I normally when I get extremely aroused by a dream I wake up by it.

probably half of them when i did wake up i knew I was having an orgasm.
The time that I did wake up while I was ejaculating, I honestly don't remember if I was having a pleasurable orgasm at the time, too. I remember being totally disoriented, in sort of a half-dream/half-awake state. I do remember in my dream I had just slid it into this girl and it felt so nice that, in my dream I realized that I was suddenly and accidentally ejaculating into her and that I definitely didn't want to do that cuz she might get pregnant. And somewhere right then, I woke up, realized I WAS having the rhythmic spasms of an orgasm and ejaculating, but the girl was somehow "gone". Where did she go?

And here is something I think really funny. When I saw her in school the next day I felt totally awkward and embarrassed because I really did feel in a way like maybe it was real and maybe I really did have sex with her!

I have both woke up after the wet dream and during my ejaculation. The first wet dream I ever had I woke up just as it was happening. I thought I was peeing and ran to the bathroom. I figured out a little later when my head was clear what had actually happened. I have had several wet dreams like that where I wake up as I am squirting. I never disliked it or thought that it wasn't pleasant. I always kind of liked the dreams that went with them, even if some of them didnt make any sense. I do agree that waking up after it has happened with a cool wet spot in my sheets is not as pleasant. I have only done that a few times.

thatrandomguy01

I've had several. I never remember the actual dream and I always wake up right before I ejaculate and it feels like I really have to pee and I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom that is right across the hall from my bedroom but I always cum in my underwear before I reach the toilet. So I take my underwear off, clean up my dick area and put on a clean pair of underwear and go back to bed.

That's weird to hear. I assume you find nutting fun when you do it while awake so why is this different in a wet dream? Is it that you don't get the orgasm or are you worried or distracted about the prospect of making a mess?

I usually wake up while ejaculating, you feel very confused and disoriented for a few seconds until you realize it was just a wet dream. It feels good (they are usually very intense), but then it's annoying when you realize the mess you've made lol

dylan925

I usually start having an orgasm in the dream but by the time I wake up my belly is already wet. I don't get wet dreams very often because I masturbate every day so there's not much left, so to speak. It's only if I don't masturbate for several days then a wet dream becomes more likely.

So, given that cumming while awake is very pleasant indeed, what's different in a wet dream to make it unpleasant?

There is a thread on here which talks about how similar/different orgasms are for each sex. Boys can have dry orgasms before they start to ejaculate and it seems the majority of the good feeling is already there. Having never experienced both I can only assume a female orgasm is bit like a boy's dry orgasm. When we start to ejaculate it definitely does add a little bit of extra pleasure from feeling the cum squirting out. On the other hand girls maintain the ability to orgasm more than once in quick succession.

It is not consciously wanted. And you usually are not ready to deal with the mess.

I can't speak from experience having never had one but on the point about being consciously wanted, the closest I think I came to having one was waking up in the early hours of the morning absolutely rock hard and very horny. Normally I might have been annoyed at being woken up in the middle of the night but on this occasion my hand went straight for my cock and within a few strokes I was cumming really hard and really enjoying it. It was like I'd been edging for a couple of hours and yet it was only a couple of minutes tops so something must have been happening in my sleep. So I didn't plan that, didn't anticipate it, but still enjoyed it.

I can see that waking up to the aftermath without having been awake for the orgasm is a bit of a crap shoot. For me, wiping up after a wank isn't hard and is absolutely worth it for the pleasure that went before but it would be different if I had not had that pleasure.

That doesn't really explain not enjoying if you wake just in time to feel yourself cum, though, unless even as you're cumming you're distracted by thoughts of how you're making a mess and the need to deal with it at the end. If so it's a pity you can't delay those thoughts for a few seconds and enjoy the orgasm.

Yeah I get the impression that the feeling itself is the same, and that ours apparently just last a little bit longer.

I've had a couple.. it's a little weird to be honest. Sometimes I'll just slowly be waking up like super groggy and I feel hard so I'm waking up and I just put my hand down there and touch myself. I can already feel some cum down there. I just have this half asleep moment where I finish and fall back asleep. I love it.

I hope Pulltost will come back with more from experience but, from a theoretical point of view it should be more like a guy pre-cumming that ejaculating.

The glands that produce vaginal lube in girls, the Bartholin's glands, are homologues to the male bulbourethral glands which produce pre-cum. Homologues in this context are parts of the body that start out the same in the embryo but then develop differently in baby girls and baby boys before they are born.

Pre-cum has been assumed to have a function in neutralising acid from urine before the passage of the sperm but, given how different guys produce very different amounts, I wonder if it is vestibular, i.e. something that has a definite function in girls but is just there in a reduced form in guys, just like nipples.

Other homologue pairs are: the testicles and ovaries, the penis and the clitoris, the foreskin and the clitoral hood, and the scrotum and the labia.

Actually I don't find it hard to understand, when I'm having one I'm not actually stroking it and I'm usually not all the way hard so when I jizz like that there's no good feelings like normal.

That's not the same. I too have that sometimes, but then you are awake and fully willing once you're cumming. That's of course very pleasant.

That's not it at all. When it happens to me, I'm only half-conscious when it starts, and it feels confusing, I don't immediately understand where I am or what's happening. Just like when someone suddenly wakes me up in the middle of the night, I'm not instantly fully conscious and awake all the time. And again, part of the issue is that it is not a conscious decision to have an orgasm, and it feels like forced from outside. It is hard to explain the feeling, but I'd say it's as if 'me in the dream' had the fun (but I usually can't remember it), and left just at the critical moment, with me taking his place without any info. I can't explain it any better than it. When it happens, I don't think right away: "damnit, I'll have to clean up". It's more like total confusion on what's happening.

but it's nice to be able to enjoy all of it! When you wake up with a wet spot it's kind of like... awh I missed it =/

I totally agree haha. When I used to get them a lot it always felt like a waste lol. All the cleanup and mess none of the fun. lol

It’s pretty wild they the mind can do that, something that usually takes physical stimulation, but a dream and boom!

I thought wet dreams happen just cuz your balls are full and you haven't cum. I am not sure it has anything to do with an actual sexy dream, even though they can be related. Like, you can have sexy dreams all the time but if you wanked hours before you're not gonna bust in your sleep.

Ok, I think people just have different experiences then. Although I have no direct experience I have talked to a friend who really enjoyed his and there are others in this thread who do and they a couple of your who don't. Who would have imagined people should have such different experiences.

Actually it seems it is more complicated than that. It's possible to have a sexy dream without ejaculating in it, i.e. without it being a wet dream. It's also possible to have a wet dream when the dream isn't about sex, at least not as wel normally understand it, and it is possible to dream about something you wouldn't want to actually do. In that sense, I suppose, this is no different to dreams in general.

Then not having cum deliberately, i.e. from masturbation or sex does seem to make them more likely but people have reported still having them despite regular masturbation - some of the posts in this thread do just that. Then there are people who can abstain for ages and still not get one.

And it seems the various glands that make cum can tolerate not ejaculating for a while. In the case of the sperm I believe there is a slighly wider part of the ejaculatory duct that can store some for a while but if that's full newly made sperm just push the older ones along until the oldest ones leak out into the urethra and get washed out next time you pee. The prostate gland can also leak into the urethra and cause your pee to become slighly cloudy. There may also be a slowing down or at least a state of equilibrium, though the risk of prostate cancer is lower if you empty it regularly.

So it seems like it may be your brain that gets impatient if you haven't cum for a while and some people's brains are more impatient than others and it has been suggested that testosterone level has a bearing on that. It could be an interesting thing to try to understand more fully but there isn't any money to be made from studying it as an improved understanding won't result in any treatment that people would pay for because the variations between one person and another are just that, not a disease that needs to be cured.

I have woken up once while it was happening. Cum squirting our of my boner.

But usually I just wake up to the aftermath. My boxers are usually soaked in cum and I tented out from my morning wood.

It's a mix for me. Sometimes I'm like half awake when I cum, other times I wake up with a crusty stain in my shorts or on my sheets.

The first few times it happened I was woken up after the fact because it had gone cold but was still wet and I thought I wet the bed.

I can only remember one wet dream and I think I woke up right after cumming because it was still wet. It definitely doesn’t happen a lot. There’s another time I got dried cum in the morning but I don’t remember the dream. Not sure what it was.

I am still waiting for my 1st wet dream but 2 of my friends who have had them said they woke up immediately afterwards to messy sheets.

Oh it feels amazing... almost feels more intense I guess because it’s waking me up from a dead sleep haha. But yeah for me I’m waking up right as it’s happening so the feeling is there and it’s good!

i agree I usually sort of wake up when its spurting during the wet dream so it feels really intense and so dam good i wake right up. only problem is i usually sleep naked and it makes my sheets all wet with cum and hard to get back to sleep. My dad tells me to wear underware to bed if i think im gonna wet dream that nite but its hard to tell it just seems to happen. He says to jo more that will keep the wet dreams down.

I do the same i usually wake up to a mess since i dont usually sleep wearing anything.

I have woken up to the aftermath a few times, but it is never a full blown ejaculation- just a drop or two. Thinking of it, maybe it's just "pre-cum dream" and I have never really had a wet dream by the definition of it!

I usually masturbate quite enough for not having a wet dream. A cousin of mine who had one he woke up while he was cumming.

I almost always wake up while I’m ejaculating, rarely after I’ve finished. There have been a very few times when I woke up thinking I kind of remembered having a wet dream, but I was only sure when I saw or felt the puddle of cum in my briefs.

I had my 1st ever wet dream a few days ago. In my dream I was having sex with a girl I really fancy. I reached orgasm really quickly, and as I ejaculated, about half way through, I woke up.

The dream bit felt great as I didn't know I was dreaming at the time and it felt real, but the downside was the messy bed I was left with.

I've never actually had a wet dream honestly.

I think every guy can have one, its just that it won't happen until you start producing cum, and by then most guys start masturbating so it just doesn't really happen all that often.

That's just my guess. I really want to know what its like to have a wet dream, but I've never stopped masturbating for that long. I mean, why would you want to? lol
