View Full Version : Question for cut guys

I had someone ask me what kind of circumcision cut I had. "Hi and Tight" or "Low and Loose". I didn't really know there were different types or styles of cuts. I even looked online to see what the difference is and I am still kind of unsure about what type I have. None of the cut descriptions sound like how mine looks. Like the cut scar makes a ring right under the rim of the head. I have heard this described as looking like an acorn. But the skin is not loose on the shaft area. The closest description I found online was the "Moderate Cut".

Anyway, does anyone know a good way to tell what kind of cut you have? And the next question would be, what kind of cut do you have?

P.S. If you are anti-circumcision, please do not post stuff about how circumcision is horrible and child abuse and should be outlawed. You can do that on other threads. I am just looking for info about my cut and others.

I think it’s called medium cut. But I don’t think there really is a scientific/medical term for it.

I would say just look it up and compare. I also have a moderate/medium cut

On wiki there's a good explanation about the styles.

There's high/low (or medium) -> you can find out by checking how much inner (sensitive) skin there is left on your shaft. The outer skin is darker than the inner one. Most cut guys have a two colored shaft. When the scar (where the two skin tones meet) is close to the glans, it's a low cut, when it's further down (I'd say 1 inch and above), it's a high cut.

Secondly, there's a difference between tight/loose (and medium too, of course). As the name says, tight is when there's not much skin left to move. Loosely cut guys have lots of skin left, often being able to cover parts of their heads with it. There's the FCI (foreskin coverage index) that helps you to find out how tightly your cut is. Each combination of high/low and tight/loose is possible.

This might help explain things to you. I hope it answers your questions.

If the scar like youres is right under the head and no extra skin then u have a low and tight. I have a high and tight which is tight shaft skin with the scar line around an inch under my head.. just depends what procedure they used to circumcise u and theres a bit of difference. High and tight leaves more inner foreskin, low and tight leaves more shaft skin, so like high and tight some ppl u can see an obvious shaft color change from the scar up, u wouldnt see that on a low and tight.
