Of course! I'm into the stereotypical manly things. I play soccer, I swim, I love camping and my friends are mostly straight guys. I'm bi so I'm into girls too, but then when I'm into boys I'm a submissive bottom (sorry if that's too much info!) which is definitely not a stereotypically manly thing

Not that I am gay, but it is what comes to your mind. If you think that you aren’t sexually attracted to the opposite gender but is more attracted to same gender, you could think you are homosexual.

And gay people can be either masculine or feminine, it is just stereotyping that makes one believe there is an average masculinity.

I'm pretty masculine and I'm gay, the two together isn't an oxymoron. and to awnser your first question, I found out over time, as I realized I was attracted to guys and wasn't really attracted to girls.

I found out by just experimenting with friends and learned I really enjoyed being with a guy. Eventually my best friend (guy) became my first love. But I too like girls and all the fun that comes with that - so I'm bi, perhaps more so pansexual.

To the second question, I agree with a lot of what has been stated above. I'm not the manliest of guys but I don't feel I'm effeminate either. I also don't necessarily see how submissiveness/dominance is tied to one or the other - I believe that an entirely different piece of your being and in some, like myself, I can take on either role depending on my partner and preference at that moment.

IAM gay but I do all the boy stuff I love soccer an I skate board alot

Absolutely. I am gay and play soccer and basketball. I enjoy watching football. I think that’s a horrible stereotype to assume all gay guys are more feminine.

Who said that gay cannot be manly? Yes, there are gays who have feminine characteristics and behaviour but there are normal gay people who are manly, even more manlier than some heteros... But it's not something you really can change...or you can. This area is poorly researched. Gay is not a solid piece of sexual orientation - there a different types of gay people and we should all categorize them all to better understand homosexuality and how it affects different people...
