Frequency of boners when wearing boxers

I always seem to get hard more often when I’m wearing boxers. It doesn’t happen as much when I wear boxer-briefs. I don’t know if it’s the friction of my dick rubbing against my boxers, but I get a boner more often in boxers. It’s more comfortable for me to wear boxers. But I’m always hard throughout the day when I wear them. My erections are a lot more noticeable in my pants too when I wear boxers. They tent out a lot more.

Do any of you guys have this kind of issue when you’re wearing boxers?

I kinda get what u mean cuz when I wear boxers my glans often rub against the material cuz my dick is just hanging there and that usually gets me hard. I also get boners more often whenever I wear too tight underwear lol

Boxers-briefs are more thight than boxers so the erection is more noticeable.
And yes, I also think that's is the friction that your cock make in boxers is more than when wearing boxers-briefs. (Your dick has free movements in boxers , thus it make more friction.)

Probably just because boxer-briefs hold it in place better so less movement and rubbing

Yeah, the combination of boxers with loose pants (or especially with something like mesh shorts or basketball shorts) can lead to a lot of boners, especially if you're walking around a lot. Like others have said, I think it's because the looseness lets your dick swing around, and that lets it rub against the cloth over and over, which is stimulating.

And if you do get hard with boxers and loose pants or shorts, it just tents out there and is really obvious unless you can get it tucked up under the waistband. The waistband thing won't work if it's summer and you don't have a shirt on! (Another bad thing about boxers is that precum soaks through them MUCH faster than through boxerbriefs.)

For all of those reasons, I mostly wear boxerbriefs. Although a boner is more obvious in boxerbriefs if that's all you're wearing (like when you wake up in the morning), they make it easier to hide a boner inside clothes since they hold it down better.

Same here .. I don't know how guys can wear boxers for doing sports. I have to have something supportive otherwise its a awful experience for me. I normally wear boxer briefs or briefs typically.

That's exactly why I wear regular briefs man! I tried boxers but it was so uncomfortable and I felt like my erections were being seen more than I'd like, haha. For me it was the friction of the fabric to my penis head which is very sensitive. Also, it was the friction against my bush. Even with briefs I still bulge bulge but not as bad as with boxers. On the other hand, I like seeing guys wearing them and tenting, LOL.

More friction and more free-ness tend to give more erctions. At first you get plenty of erections if you are not used to it, but you get used to it quickly. It is a bit like going commando for the first time, then you get used to it.
I have been wearing boxers for many years now and I don't get a lot more erections because of it.

yea,, I wear boxerbriefs and some briefs.. and they work well for general use. But for sports a jock seems to do the best job of maintaining a boner. Compression shorts don't do much imo. And ya running is not a time you def don't want that to happen.

I some times get boners when I wear new compression boxer briefs. When it’s new it’s super tight, and I guess from the rubbing gets me hard.

Try a jockstrap. I think it make my running a lot better and I didn't worry about it . Seemed to me it was not as tight as compression shorts either and my legs were free to move .
