I'm doing a summer program and am sharing a dorm room with another person for about a month. I usually sleep in my underwear, is this acceptable when sharing a room with another person. Should I just wear pajamas? What are your thoughts?

If you're not sharing the same bed, then sleep naked or something! If your roommate has an issue with it, be considerate. There's no problem with this. Whatever you're comfortable with.

hat does your roommate sleep in. If he sleeps in his underwear I don't see any problem if you sleep in yours. Perhaps, you should talk to him about what he wears to sleep in.

Depends what the other boy wears. If he wears just boxers, then I guess you can just wear boxers.

Sleep as you want to, even naked too. But be respectful and keep some sheets if the other guy doesn't like it.

When we did school trip, or Team trips, I would sleep in my BoxerBriefs.

I sleep nude at home but don't think I could on a trip -- I will sleep in boxerbriefs -- thankfully don't have to discuss because I normally room with the same person

I would have a brief talk with my potential roommate about sleeping attire if you are unsure about it, but I think sleeping in your unders is totally acceptable and pretty common.

you could talk with your roommate if you want, or just do it anyways. lots of guys I know sleep in just underwear even when sharing a room with someone else

If he's a stranger I guess you could just ask, or see what he's sleeping in first. Underwear should be just fine though!

You should sleep however your comfortable. Underwear is just fine. That's how I sleep. There should be no reason to go out and buy pajamas. You may be surprised how your roommate may sleep too.

You are always fine sleeping in your briefs. I normally sleep naked at home in hot weather. I would check with him before sleeping in the nude.

I would say yes it's acceptable, but you need to read the room. See what he sleeps in and use that as a gauge. For example, if he sleeping in t-shirt and shorts, then maybe sleep in just shorts and see what happens. Depends on what kind of underwear you sleep in. There's a difference between sleeping in boxers or a trunk-briefs versus a jock or a thong.

it depends if their comfortable with it, they probably won't care but just see if they're okay with it; or you could just do it anyway

My experience living in a dorm at college is that most guys just sleep in underwear, or some wear basketball shorts or mesh shorts (with or without underwear). I don't think I've ever seen someone with actual pajamas. A few wear shirts, and possibly sweats (especially in the winter), but underwear or shorts are the most common thing.

I think you can just wear whatever you normally wear to bed, and unless your roommate does something completely different (or is uncomfortable with what you wear), you probably don't even need to talk about it. Just like you probably won't talk about what you're going to wear during the day! You'll just wear whatever you want to wear.

Sleep however you want. Personally I sleep nude no matter where I am. When I've shared rooms I simply took my clothes off and went to sleep. Try not to overthink it
