Does anyone else have privacy issues in their house? It's getting ridiculous for me. Neither my bedroom or bathroom have locks.
My dad literally just tried to smash open the door despite knowing my naked ass was in the shower and WATCHED ME. and even though I told him to gtfo, he starts calling me "Jerky" when I wasn't doing jack shit and CONTINUOUSLY joking about it.
My room. My siblings love to barge in there too..
Does this happen to other people or is my family just dumb? About to cuss someone out so....

TBH...
I have zero problem with my family seeing me naked... its the confidence that comes with being 16 and looking 6!
But if its a problem for you then ask them to stop!

If it’s just male family members, I wouldn’t really get too upset about that. I get that you want your privacy and that’s totally fine. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed in front of them though. Your dad helped create you and I’m sure he’s seen your penis before. Nothing to worry about

After my sister locked herself in the bathroom accidentally we lost all our locks. That was like 10 years ago but whatever. My sisters and I share a bathroom so showering is rarely alone. I mean the curtain is closed but if we’re all trying to get ready it’s tough. Also my bedroom door has no lock but I’m rarely in it unless sleep, but if I’m in it no one knocks they just open.
And asking the, to stop hasn’t worked. I gave up.

In my family we don't lock doors. But, we have rules that pertain to privacy. Main rule is that we must knock before entering anyone's bedroom or bathroom when they are inside it. My dad or mom don't tease me about jerking off either. They know that I do it and they respect my privacy. Perhaps, you should speak to your dad about him respecting your privacy and about trying to smash down your door when you are inside it. Also, you should ask him not to call you names, like "jerky". That's so not cool. I bet he wasn't called that name or any others when he was your age and jerking off. He's a guy just like the rest of us and he jerked off probably as much or more as you. Don't be afraid to talk to him about masturbation. I'm sure he will respect you for doing so and will stop teasing you and calling you names.

I have no lock on my bedroom door and parents barge in but i do have a lock on the bathroom door where i finish jacking. A few months ago my dad called to me when i was in the shower and I was coming out. I didn't lock the door because no one was home when i went in. He opened the door and i had a big boner and it was the first time he had seen me with pubes. His mouth opened a little and then quickly said sorry and shut the door. Later he said "how's my big boy" and i said nothing.

My Mum is the only one that knocks. My brother and Dad always barge in too.

We don’t have locks on our bathrooms or bedrooms. No one knocks. It’s really just walk in. There’s an unspoken rule that if the door is closed just wait, but sometimes we can’t, so there’ll be times when I walk in on my sister peeing, or my mom will walk in on me showering. Everyone’s just used to it though.

It's just my 2 brothers and sister upstairs and we share one bathroom. It's rare that my parents ever come up. So while the door has a lock, we're not very modest with each other. And not at all with my brothers.

share a room with my brother and we don't hide "anything" from each other. if the bedroom door is closed pretty good chance one of us is masturbating so parents wait until the door is open

Only child and nudist, have my own bathroom and when my parents see a closed door they usually always knock first and wait to be invited in.

They don't even knock. They literally just enter my room uninvited

Umm...why was your dad watching you in the shower? That's creepy. And he's calling you by saying "jerky"? Even more strange. Privacy issue aside..what's up with that kinda behavior?

He wasn't watching me weirdly. he probably just was being an ass on purpose. He was calling me that to make fun (even though I wasn't doing it??? He thought I was Lol)

I am lucky. I get privacy. It helps joining the family around puberty so it was just natural to talk about how things should be.

There's a big difference between a structural limitation on privacy (having to share rooms, too many people in the house, needing to get ready in the bathroom at the same time, etc.) and someone on purpose invading your privacy, and it kinda sounds like that's what your dad and brothers are doing. If "jerky" is about jerking off then that's also a bit shaming for something that literally every guy does.

Have a discussion of getting locks put
on doors and if that is shot down then
bring up knocking before entering and
if that still does not work barge in on
them when they least expect it and
maybe they will get the idea.
