Hey guys! So I’ve nearly finished writing my story (the ones on here are AWESOME) and I’ve been wanting to try and publish for some time but I’ve never done anything. My story contains sensitive topics like self harm and suicide (it’s dark, but I still like it) but it has an important message. I don’t want my parents to know about this because they’re really strict about that and will stop me and be angry about why I’m writing that. Is it possible to publish as a minor without parental consent, or should I just wait till I’m 18? Thanks!:)

I would say whatever u have to submit
for publishing has to stick to whatever
rules the company honors as content-
age or even if there is a fee u have to
pay. As for ur parents again it maybe
has to with age. U don't say how old
u r. I would first think about that than
if ur parents will not like u doing so.

I’d wait, bookstores are dying, and they exploit new authors of series they think will be a hit but negotiate unfair business contract with you to publish and sell it.

It’s best you wait not just until 18, but until you know how to spot a fair business contract rather than an exploitative one.

Do you want to publish a real book or as a en ebook? Someone I know published online, not sure how they did it though. You could use a pseudonym! :)
