Did the doctor say u have a

statement that one should
trim or shave?

Your thread title is "Like Crabs or just bugs". Was the doctor looking at your pubic hair and found crab lice? There are treatments for that problem. If the doctor found crab lice he/she should have prescribed a treatment for them to rid yourselves of that problem. Can you be more specific?

Ur doctor probably has seen a lot of guys
who play sports that have this problem and
he is just giving u advice. Its odd but its normal.

Your doctor simply expressed an opinion, and it is up to you and your Brother to decide whether or not you want to trim or remove your pubic hair. Everything depends on how hot it is where you and and if having a big bush would make things sweaty and itchy down there. It really is a personal choice on whether or not you want to trim/remove your pubes, and it does not matter one way or the other what you do. It is a matter of comfort at this point.

As for removing or trimming pubic hair getting rid of lice/bugs, that really does not do much because pubic lice actually crawl into the base of pubic hair follicle meaning that if you remove the hair itself the public lice will crawl into the base of the hair and wait for it to grow out to come out.

That's interesting. So the way to get rid of them is to poison them with something suitable from the pharmacist just like head lice.

Is there any evidence that moisure retention encourages them? Surely, like head lice, you get them when you catch them from someone. Avoid such close contact as would allow them to transfer from one person to another seems like a good idea.
