When you think of acting right, doing the right thing, do you do it because of a virtue (like: being nice, honest, caring, a good friend) or do you do you simply think about the consequences of that particular action?

A mix of both, I think. I try to do what I think is right, but I also have the consequences in mind.

Mostly, doing right thing is quite hard for an individual to do because sometimes the individual must overstep himself, his principles and see a bigger picture... If the consequences play in favor for masses - it's a good thing. If it plays against interests of masses - it's a bad thing. That is the definition of right and wrong thing. And mistly, in order to do the right thing involves sacrifices...
