I know what you mean, he doesn't strike me as "man enough" for Batman, in lack of a better term. It would be fun if Tom played him, it would be a great homage to his earlier role as Bane. :D

He would definitely fit a role like that even better. I would like to see him as a villain. I think he could manage, if he woud stop trying to look nice for the camera all the time.

Yeah, I try picturing him with white makeup, red lipstick and green hair, it would make sense. And it would be fun to see him as a villain for a change, always fun to see actors who usually play heroes or nice guys "go bad". ;)

After thinking about this some more, seeing some pictures of him and trying to imagine him with the bat-mask, I'm slowly starting to think that it might work. I'm still not excited about the idea, but we'll see.

People can doubt him because he was in the Twilight movies which were just kinda trash-cinema but I've read that he's been pretty good in other movies - I haven't watched them yet but I'm considering it now to check it out for myself. People doubted Heath Ledger when he was cast as the Joker and he was brilliant. The far worse problem, in my view, for the next Batman movie is that the DC movies have ranged from awful to decent-but-not-great with a lot of pretty bad movies. If they can get their shit together or just stop trying to be Marvel and drop the whole extended universe thing, it might have a chance.
