Anal exam

During their physicals does anyone else go through a quick anal inspection? It seems pretty normal to me but I haven’t seen a lot of people who have gone through one on this site.

Not for the normal teen but sometimes
doctors check for hemorrhoids or if the
prostate is congested which they might
massage the prostate but I don't think
there is any other reason unless u have
some specific problem.

Usually they get me to bend over and spread my cheeks, from what I understand it’s part of the protocol they have to follow and they have to do in every checkup where I live.

I’ve never experienced a check on my anus at all ever. The most a doc has gone when doing a physical for me has been checking my dick and balls.

Yes--its very embarassing but I realize why it must be done. Since I turned 13 my doc makes me to bend over (after the check of penis and testes) and he "spreads the CHEEKS'" and does a visual inspection. A couple of times he used a (gloved) finger to test the anus muscle and asked me to "bite down" to his finger with the muscles. It's over super quick

I have never had an anal exam but I have had a prostrate exam when I was 16 or 17.

An anal exam is part of my yearly physical, its been that way since I told my doc I have been sexually active. He is usually checking to make sure there are no problems back there and everything is functioning correctly.

ive never had a physical nor do i live in the USA, like you, but I've never heard of an anal exam during a routine checkup unless the doctor explicitly stated his concerns/reasoning

Do doctors put anything in a guys but to see stuff like they do a girls vagina? I was told it's a smaller instrument.

Only if there's a specific reason to look there, like hemorrhoids.

Otherwise that area should stay unscrutinized.

I've had the doctor do the genital cough thing a could of times in recent years and I've gotten shots in the butt cheek when I was younger (single digit age) and possibly gotten rectal temp taken when I was to young to use an oral thermometer (I understand that is common), but I haven't had either of those done in a while and as far as I can remember I've never had a doctor look at or touch my butt for any reason other than for shots and rectal temp when I was little. I wouldn't care that much if they did look back there during a checkup, physical, or if they were looking for something particular (like hemorrhoids or somethings).

During a regular visit to the doc 2 yrs ago she examined my anus as I said I get constipated since of late.
After she pulled my briefs to my mid thigh level to examine my testicles, she got me to roll over to my side and bend one knee. Thereafter she parted my cheeks examined my anus and did a rectal exam with her finger too. Thereafter she wiped the gel with a tissue and let me get dressed.
Seems I have early haemarrhoids and she wants me to eat more fruits and drink water to reduce the risk of it progressing and to keep my bowels soft.
(I really hope that she did not see the 'skid marks' on my white briefs.....I was not ready for an rectal exam else would have had a wash before.

I’ve only ever had one in depth like that. But every physical I have the doctor will bend me over and feel around. But I was 12 and had some anal problems, so first thing was pretty much a prostate exam. But then a week later we went back and had an enema, then had a camera inserted only a little bit into my anus. So that was fun. And helped me find the pleasure of anal stimulation.
