I'm uncircumcised and I masturbate without lube most of the time. It's a lot cleaner. I think the glans is a bit more sensitive than most circumcised guys so it can be too sensitive to directly touch without a lot of lube. It's easier for uncircumcised guys to masturbate without lube because we don't have to directly touch the head. Most of the time we roll our foreskin back and forth over the penis head, putting a bit of gentle pressure on the head through the foreskin.

I never used to use lube and never had much of an issue. I decided to start using lube a few months back and it provides a different sensation and even delays me from cumming a little longer then without the lube.

I love the feeling of using lube. Sometimes if I need to jerk off when I'm not at home and I can't use lube, it still works. It's just a slightly different feeling that I can't really explain

You don't necessarily need to use lube either if your uncut or cut. Some cut and even uncut guys find it better to use lube when masturbating. It's really your choice.
To answer your question about uncut guys. We uncut guys have a natural moisture on our glans "head" under the foreskin and that acts as a natural lube for masturbation and sex. During sex or masturbation the foreskin slides back and forth over the glans.
