I think I have a flaccid penis of good size but it does not hang at all. I would like to analyze samples to understand if the size of the penis actually influences the angle of hanging. I would like you tout answer those questions:

Also, I think that there are other factors that decide whether your dick hangs or not- like size and shape of your testicles for example.

On of my friends packs some rather big balls that are tight to his body. They sort of “support” his penis so it can’t hang and just points forward

I definitely agree, my balls dont really hang, so having them so close to my body holds my dick up a little.
