I was just wondering if the send a message thread had any special rule regarding double posting. If I'm required to edit additional thoughts on my previous posts, that's perfectly fine, but I was only wondering.

I think the rule applies here.

I think this is left up to moderators' discretion, to be honest. In my opinion, it's fine to have two posts in a row in a "list thread" (a thread meant for people to respond multiple times) if a reasonable amount of time has passed and no one else has posted in it. There is really no standard for this, I don't think.

I know there have been times where someone has posted in the "Last thing you ate" thread, and no one else had posted for over a day. I would think a reasonable amount has passed in that case. I mean, I would expect people to eat (or drink, or have a thought, or have a message to send) more than once in 24 hours sometimes. It's not really your fault no one else posted (taking into consideration the traffic those threads get).

Basically this, I mean as long as you aren't spamming once every 30 minutes then I think you'd be fine.
