I'm a guy and act accordingly be it in public or private.
Being girly is not being gay for me. ;)

I don't act girly, but I think doing so doesn't mean you're gay. Just means your brain's wired differently

I don't really know exactly how to "act girly" so I don't know my thoughts on this
All I do know is I've been told some of my clothes are for girls (especially my hats) and I'm not too bothered by that

I act really feminine like all the time. I am very femme and take an androgynous outer appearance.
I'm not gay though.

Gender identity has nothing to do with your sexual identity. Liking to be feminine is not gay or straight, just feminine.
Not anymore, frat life. I really wish I could in a not-so-oppressing society.

Girl is a gender, not a personality. One cannot act girly anymore than one can act tall, or act asian. Behavioral gender stereotypes serve no function.

I don't think that is Gay but I wouldn't do it personally. If its what you want to do go ahead

It's who you are. Doesn't mean your gay. I know many guys who don't act masculine but get a lot of girlfriends.

I do it when I'm mocking something I see on tv or in a vid game...does that make me "gay"? Not sure I really care. But, I don't do it outside of my circle of friends, so maybe I do care a little.

I think you might get more relevant answers here.
I don't think I "act like a girl". I like things some things that teenage guys might say are girly, but I'm not really bothered by it. I like interior design, fashion, other things, but that doesn't influence my sexuality. They're just things that I'm into -- simple as that.

Pretty much agree. Still, I will try to answer the question by assuming that by "acting like girls" he actually means "acting like the stereotype of an obnoxious, Twilight-reading, Belieber female highschooler".
Also, wasn't he the one who claimed that "YOU NEED A WOMEN" to live a normal life on a different thread a while back? Anyway, I'm rambling. Back on topic...
No, I don't act like that. I have a rather deep voice, speak without any noticeable defects, most of my clothing is rather dark-colored, and I don't understand the concept of fashion.
That said, I go to the opera on a monthly basis, and sing in a choir.
Still, I don't exactly fit the "camp gay" stereotype.

Are you kidding? I act like a guy and have a super deep voice, but nobody has a prob with it, so it shouldn't matter with guys either. You honestly can barely ever tell if someone is gay. Very rarely do gay guys actually act girly enough to distinguish. Giggle like a barbie girl, nobody carez XD

I'm gay and I'm just as "straight acting" as my straight male friends. Well, aside from my taste in pop culture, I love the likes of Lady Gaga, Whitney, Madonna, Britney and other "gay icons" plus I watch RuPaul's Drag Race, Glee and other shows which aren't exactly seen as the most masculine choices of entertainment :p but in my demeanour and how I look I'm not effeminate at all.

being feminine doesn't make you gay
liking people of the same gender (guys in your case) makes you gay or bi

I'm kind of neutral when it comes to gender. I don't act or dress feminine, but I don't act masculine and macho either. I feel sometimes more confused than anything, maybe because I'm so neutral.

I'm not entirely social so I don't believe I act like anything... but I've been numerously told I'm very boyish. Seriously though when they say "boyish" they're more than likely referring to my tendency to take the leader position when nobody wants it. That, and my serious, cold, flat voice. I do know that I ooze this eerie, respect-demanding aura that makes everyone a little bit afraid of me. I like the fact that I scare people. Keeps me from being bothered by idiots :)
Back to topic: I've been wanting to ask this question for a very long time. I don't speak much in public, and that's probably why my mind can't stop working. Recently this question popped out and I just can't get it off my head. I have two male classmates that does everything labelled to be a "girl's thing". As much as I hate to judge, they did make me wonder whether they're gay or not. But I guess this thread has once again reinforced the "never ever judge" rule. Guess it really is impossible to identify a gay person unless they're with their partner, or say it explicitly.

Personally i'm more feminine myself however when i'm around strangers i don't act like that because i'm not comfortable but when i'm around good friends i am. :) I wouldn't say it's a gay thing, however it is a stereotype about gay people.

I can be feminine sometimes but I don't really act like it much so I don't even need to hide it because the only real time I'm feminine is when I'm flirting or masturbating I guess

You really can't. I mean, there are sometimes when things might happen and you think they MIGHT be, but you don't know for sure unless they tell you or it's common knowledge.
A lot of gay people reinforce stereotypes, but a lot don't.

When masturbating? That's interesting.

Oh, and to answer the question, I do act girly, but then again I am biologically female.

Ya, if you classify anal stimulation as feminine, plus romantically wise

Hmm, I guess on a man it could be seen that way, but it doesn't have to be.
Er like, submissive? :what:
