Hey guys so I知 14, and I知 concerned about how deep my voice is. My voice broke about 3 or 4 months ago now, and it just kinda gradually deepened with some random voice cracks lol. Often people irl like my friends and online say i sound like an adult (it can kinda get annoying with people online thinking your an adult). Everything else regarding development is normal for my age I guess.
I知 just wanting to know if this is normal or odd?

its totally normal, some people younger than you have fully broken voices and it varies among everyone.

I'd say it normal. I personally wish I had a deeper voice so i'd be greatful for what you've got.

I would say it is normal, it depends on people.

Benjamin,
Your voice breaking at around 14 years of age is absolutely normal. Some boys find their voices drop suddenly; others gradually; others go through an embarrassing period of squeakiness.
But all is normal, and it can happen at any stage of puberty.

I was the same way. I had a deep voice at 15 and some guys especially on Skype called an old man. lol it was a bit odd but the way it is.

Nah this is normal. I don’t judge people on their voices, or I would have to judge myself lol. My ex bf when he was 13 sounded like a 40 yr old.

Mine is low at times and high during other's. Don't worry if your voice is deep. You'll turn out fine

Exactly the same for me, it痴 odd isn稚 it? My main speaking voice low but at times it can just change to high lol.

Are you saying you are concerned that 14 is too young for your voice to sound like an adult?
Like any other part of development, this varies from one person to another. At the end of my first year at secondary school (UK year 7, American 6th Grade) which would have made me about 12 and a half, some people I knew from primary school commented that my voice had changed. That doesn't necessarily mean it was completely at adult pitch by then, probably not, but that's just an example that it can be earlier for some than others.
Thinking of 14 specifically, I remember this video of a 14 y/o singing "Old Man River" came up on YouTube as one of the auto-suggestions:

Old man river is written for a bass voice, i.e. really deep with some notable low notes. I agree with the commenters that this guy is a baritone rather than a bass but baritone is the common adult male voice. For comparison, here is the same song by Willard White (a bass):

which is also more culturally appropriate as, given the character sings about "the white man boss" he is presumably black.

Interestingly, I have seen 15 cited as the age at which most guys have adult voice pitch.

Sounds realistic. I believe at 15-16 most or all guys in my school had their adult voice.

That's normal, some guys deepen earlier than others, soon most of your friends will have too ;)
