Hey there peeps. So, so far I have just been trimming my pubes but I kinda want a bit of a quicker way and I feel that shaving would do the job. Now my problem is that I’ve heard that sometimes shaving can cause itchiness, etc. I was just wanting to know if I should do that or not?

I've only ever shaved my pubes completly once and it didn't itch straight away but a few days later as the hairs grew back it started to it. It's completly up to you if you want to shave or not. I'd say try it if your curious (like i was) but just know it may itch a bit.

I usually trim but I have shaved. The warning I would give with shaving is that A. you can cut yourself pretty easily if you're not careful and you haven't quite mastered it and B. razor burn hurts like a bitch if you don't do it quite right. You'd be working with a sharp razor and so have all the risks associated with it.

shaving can easily result in razor burn and ingrown hairs etc but there's barely any risk with trimming which can give you a very close shave-like trim. And razors go blunt quickly whereas if you buy an electric trimmer with self-sharpening blades it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Alright lads, I'll stick with trimming for now. Thanks for the replies

Personally, I do neither. But there's no right or wrong; it's entirely what you feel is most comfortable - or maybe attractive-looking - for you.

Basically, be happy in your own skin! ;)

Yeah.
When the pubes grow back in it gets a little itchy, but it's not unbearable or anything. If you use aftershave *lotion* like you would use on your face to keep your face from drying out I'm sure that would help.

it can get really itchy and irritated if you dont know what youre doing, so I would say just keep yours natural and just keep them trimmed.

I leave mine natural but when I start getting into sexual relationships I'll start trimming them.

I trim mine every once in a while. The few times I shaved, it got really itchy and uncomfortable.

I've been shaving lately. You have to mantain it or it gets itchy, but I like how it looks.

Keep mine shaved all the time. It's never itchy, and it won't be unless you're doing it wrong..

I've shaved a few times, it gets really itchie and uncomfortable when it grows back. I also got a lot of ingrown hairs which looks really off-putting lol. So I just stick to the trimming and general tidiness...

I generally trim, especially during the summer. It just feels nice to keep things tidy down there.

Yup I agree--- be happy with the way you look, or change it so you become happy. Don't do something just because other boys are doing it. I trim mine, but because I like the way it looks. I have seen my older brother's trimmed and shaved and I like it, so that's why I do it.
