Hi,
So I’ve began sleeping in my boxers again and I much prefer it, I’m much comfier and it’s just better all round but I’ve not done it for like 12 months. Can suddenly going back to sleeping in your boxers mean your sleep quality isn’t as good if you change what you sleep in all of a sudden or could it be because I’m preoccupied with something?

Thank you in advance!

I'd say it is more likely that you're pre-occupied with something than to do with the boxers unless they're really bothering you. I have slept in clothes, pyjamas and underwear and I don't think it affected my sleep quality that much even though I'm more comfortable in pyjamas. But that's me personally. You might be different. Maybe try making sure you're going to sleep at the right time and relax before bed - maybe read a book or listen to a calming podcast.

I don't really think what you sleep in has any real effect on how well you sleep.

its most likely you getting distracted with other things unless your boxers really are posing a problem lol. having a better sleep routine or comfier sheets may improve your sleep quality

Probably it's something else that is bothering you when you are sleeping. Do you toss and turn all night? Do you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee? Are you having bad or wet dreams? Those things will definitely impact your sleep quality. I don't think that underwear has much to do with bad sleep quantities. Have you ever considered sleeping in the nude?

Thanks everyone- when I’ve thought about it it’s probably because I’ve been preoccupied a lot

Could be a mix of things on your mind and the sudden change in stimulation. It may feel great and more comfortable but it's also something your body needs to get used to again and so will take time for your body to sleep whilst feeling.

I think you're the only one who can decide whether there's something on your mind or not. But either way, you shouldn't need to spend too much time thinking or worrying about it.

Try to relax and I reckon everything will sort itself out.

Good luck.

I think changing the underwear you sleep in doesn't affect your sleeping.

I always sleep in just my boxers. I can’t sleep naked or I get a boner when I do. I think sleeping in my boxers is really comfortable. It’s never affected how I sleep.

Even if you sleep on your back?
But yea, same. I like to sleep naked, but I don't like getting boners when I'm trying to sleep, so I end up just wearing boxers

I agree. I dont think sleeping in boxers or pjs or dick out influence the way you sleep

What did you sleep in before switching to boxers? Changing of habit might disturb you a few days but not more.
