My question is would you come out on April 1st and make it seem like a prank/joke when actually your being 100% serious?

That would be fun except our folks already figured it out :P
As far as friends go, sounds too risky.

No. First of all, I fucking hate April Fools. Or International Douchebaggery Day, as I like to call it.
Second, too damn risky.

If I was in the position where I did need to come out, which I don't because I am already out. I would not come out on April Fool's because that is ridiculous, I always found that if you use something big like this as a joke, it can backfire and I don't think this is something you want to backfire at you.

Seems like a terrible idea cause they can always just pretend you were joking (as some would like to no doubt)

I'm out already so, too late for that. But I guess I wouldn't do it...I hate April Fool's Day and pranks.

Seems like a good idea, in case they're weirded out you can make it seem like a joke... i haven't come out yet but everyone's got their suspicions (i believe) so i don't think i have to anytime soon.
I still hate the "APRIL FOOLS I'M GOING TO LAY DOWN NAILS ON YOUR CHAIR AND HAVE YOU SIT ON THEM LOLOL" kids, which, for some reason, are 80% of the world population.

If I were gay, definitely not. I'm someone that tends to joke around a lot, so 4/01 is not a good day to make an announcement like that.

I already came out 4 months ago so today would be a good opportunity to say "Mum, dad, I'm straight and I have a girlfriend" UGGGGH unbelievable though. Not because I can't get one as I know at this time I can but I really don't want to as it sounds horrible to me

To my friends no way they tend to seem to think I might be anyhow. To family they already think I'm completely gay. So more of a shock would've coming out saying I'm straight.

Short answer: no.
Long(er) answer: that sounds like it could easily have backfired but each to their own.

No. Especially if you're coming out to someone very important to you, it can be a cruel joke and backfire. Besides, I'm already out to everyone who matters.
