Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1

So, guys, what'd you think of the episode?

I kinda wish Tyrion really had some kind of plot to do. He's kinda just been doing nothing and saying quips since the end of Season 4. It kinda just feels like he's there because he's a fan favourite character.

I'm not really sure of a lot of the characters motivations any more and I'm not sure I buy so many of them going along with stuff so easily. But I guess that's what happens when you have to combine so many plotlines that you can actually end the show.

About Tyrion, yea i think Sansa was kinda right when she was talking about how clever he used to be and now notsomuch. Sad!!

Yea and in just six eps! In early seasons it felt like it took time to go places but last season. Like literal places. and now it feels like SNAP i am miles awayyyy now! lol

All in all very cool. Loved the dragon stuff!!!!

I was a bit sad to hear that they were only doing 6 episodes for the final season, but then I heard that every episode would have a feature film type budget. I don't think that the first episode had much of that budget and aside from character reunification not much really happened.
I'm hoping things get going before they run out of episodes.

Yea mostly setup for the final 5. I am sure it will ramp up tonight. :boxing: The dragon stuff probably busted the ep 1 budget though haha

Such quality CGI is very costly for sure.

Emilia Clarke is only 5'2 and Sophie Turner is nearly 5'9. They did their best using angles and props to make Kit Harrington (who's only 5'7) to appear taller than Sophie but from the shots we've seen so far this season they've given up lmao
