I'd like to know if anyone here has been or are on birth control and if it helped if you had really irregular periods or cramps. Also did you get any sort of side effects from it?
Thanks

yes to everything you asked
I never had really irregular periods, but it definitely put my body on a good steady schedule, and has helped with cramps and bloating also

Yeah I went on Cilest when I was 14 because I got heavy periods and pain. It helped a lot, my periods were more regular and didn't get pain. But I put on some weight which was annoying and I got headaches. It was good when I was with my boyfriend when I was nearly 16 because neither of us expected we'd have sex it just happened so we didnt have condoms, but I didn't have to worry about having sex. So if you go on it for heavy periods or period pain its quite good cos you can have fun with your boyfriend and who knows it might lead to sex, which is great! and you won't have to worry about it. After we started having sex regularly I went onto nexplanon injection which is better cos I dont have to remember the pills and I didnt get so bloaty or put on weight. Theres lots of different types of pill or injection so if you dont like one you should try another.

Thanks everyone, just wanted to see what other people's experiences were since I started it today. My doctor recommended it to help with being irregular and cramps.
