I’m 16 is it normal for my doctor to not check my penis and balls at my normal physical?

I wouldn't call it unusual. If you're worried about something with them, you can always ask him/her.

Mine has always checked mine. Perhaps your doctor just does things different, idk.
Obviously, if you are worried about something down there be sure to ask your doctor.

I’m fifteen and this year was the first time my doctor did not check me. He asked if I had any questions or concerns but I didn’t. So I guess maybe they don’t necessarily have to.

If you don’t have any problems you’re not complaining about pain or a hernia then I’d think it’s probably fine. If you had a problem you should have asked or said something. If you don’t have a problem then good for you bc who really wants to show off their equipment to a doctor?

I've never had a physical exam before but I don't think there's anything wrong with him not checking although if you are concerned about anything you could could always ask him.

My doctor does the turn/cough check every time I have a physical. I think it is just different docs.

Sometimes a doctor checks for a
hernia or any lumps on ur testicles.
Usually the hernia exam is standard.

My doctor typically checks both and my anus, I think it differs by region.

I think physicals largely depend on where you get them. For me, my doctor has always made me do the hernia test plus he actually checks my balls to make sure everything is okay. But I know that for others that I know, this doesn't happen.

Not really unusual. Never gotten an actual physical because I'm not super into sports but I've gotten one from my regular doctor. It's kinda awkward because he just says "okay I'm gonna look down there" and just asks me to whip it out but it's all good because he's a male doctor and he gets that it's kind of an awkwrad thing to do but has to be done to make sure there's nothing wrong.
