I've heard of that when some people look down they do think that they look smaller than they are. I think it's a confidence thing. Though being big helps!

Partly, psychological - you're more likely to feel worried about how you look - and partly perspective - looking down on your penis can make it look smaller especially if it curves up. Try comparing between yourself looking down at it and look at it side-on in a mirror. And, penis size isn't that big of a deal any way - as long as you're not super small, it matters more what you do with it than how big it is.
