Hello. I'm Connor. I've browsed these forums for a while but now I'm finally getting around to making an account. It's kinda hard to think of what to say about me but I guess I'll just say that I'm from Australia, I like computers and politics, I'm a lil bit ugly and I think the Academy was nuts to give Forrest Gump Best Picture over Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption.

All great movies, all a matter of personal taste is all
Same with what you consider ugly, in my world, that doesn’t exist, we’re all different and that’s that
Welcome to VT and enjoy

I just cooked some the other day actually. Outside the supermarket meat aisle the most likely place you're going to see them is on the road sadly. It's unlikely to go on a long drive through the country without seeing a dead kangaroo on the road.

It's alright. It's kinda hard to say when I haven't lived in any other countries. I've been to a few European countries - UK, Germany, Poland, Russia - for a holiday. They're intetesting but I think I'd prefer to live in Australia from the little I saw. Though, I would like to see more of those countries and travel to other ones just to see new stuff. There are some really cool museums in other parts of the world.

There are, but I think I'm staying away from Australia mainly because of the giant bugs. They scare me big time

Well, spider-wise, it's the east coast that gets the Funnel Webs. We get huntsman everywhere - not like you're going to see them regularly unless you go poking around a load of sheds and barns - which are pretty big but not really dangerous to us.
Edit: Just went to brush my teeth and there was a spider in the basin. Not helping my case, bro.

Not often but sometimes. Some species have to be culled because of overgrazing. A lot of that meat ends up in pet food but the better stuff can go to human consumption. It's kinda like a gamier beef. There's very little fat in it so you have to be careful not to overcook it, otherwise it can become tough.

No worries. I cooked the last kangaroo meat with a red wine sauce with macadamia nuts.

I cook sometimes but not every day. Wine is pretty common in making sauces and French-style cooking in general. Cooking it really concentrates it and evaporates most of the alcohol anyway.
