Okay, so I really love poetry and write lots of it, but a while back I realized it was all cringe and deleted it all but now I regret it because, although it was mostly cringe, there were some good ideas in there. So now I have a policy that I never delete anything I write no matter how cringey it is. This is good except for the fact that now whenever I go through my old writings to look for inspiration I'm bombarded by the worst stuff I've ever written. Stuff like this:

[REDACTED IN ORDER TO STOP THE SPREAD OF CANCER, SERIOUSLY I INITIALLY HAD THE WORST THING I'VE EVER WRITTEN POSTED HERE]

I hate this piece so much that I might even remove it from this post later but I'm still trying to resist deleting it from my memory card. Do you think I'm going about this right or should I just delete the stuff I don't like and risk losing a few ideas / rhymes I will regret not having anymore?

All my poetry is great when I write it but so cringey when I re-read it. We all deal with that.
