So I'm 18, turning 19 next month and I still dont have a girlfriend. My sisters all had relationships since they were 16 but I just don't seem to. My job doesn't really give me the opportunity to see people my age (I work in a school, so most staff are way older than me. I don't plan on being there much longer, maybe until end of the year). I've tried dating apps, and was working - I was speaking to a girl since November but things sorta ended recently.

I sorta feel "pressured" to find someone, and a fear is just being alone forever etc. I'm not the most confident person at first, but when I get to know someone I think I'm good company. I see all these people around me in relationships, and I just wish I was the same. Anyone else been in this situation?

Im sure most of us have been in ur
situation one time or another but u
seem defeated at 18 that u r going
to b alone for the rest of your life. U
should not feel pressured or seem to
want to rush into a relationship. As I
said lots of times when u meet some
one u have to get to know them better
as well as they U. U seem to have low
self esteem of urself and it is defeating
u of finding someone and keeping them.
I would not go with dating aps-its better
to c and get to know someone face to face.
Don't know what kind of job u have or what
kind of school but if there r functions y not
attend some-sports-club-dance and c if u
can get to know someone. Again it depends
on the job and the school. Older co-workers-
so u don't talk to anyone closer to ur age?
Give it a try.

Not all is lost... I’m 17 and don’t have a GF, but I do think you should try and get yourself out there. Go out to more social gatherings (clubs/societies...) and I’m sure you’ll meet some people there
