So a few days ago I went to the doctor to a routine appointment and the doctor said I should retract my penis skin more. What I didn't understand is if I have to do that while im soft or hard.

While soft, I do that relatively easy, but when hard, the foreskin still stays on the head and I have some difficulties in pulling the foreskin backwards.

It’s more so when you’re soft, so that you can clean/ensure correct function of the foreskin :)

But the goal is to not have foreskin on the head while hard right? Cuz i struggle to do that.

I Know a few that can pull it back easy soft to wash etc but can’t when hard , they can still wank fine and I know 2 of them have no probs with sex . Ok it might be preferable to retract for sex or wanking but it’s not necessary

he probably just meant to retract for maintenance and cleaning, doing it when hard is just another way of masturbation.

Im asking because I have trouble in putting condoms while hard, since the skin is covering the forehead. Also, must be kinda uncomfortable to do sex with the head covered.

You can go to the dr’s and they will usually prescribe a steroid cream.
You don’t have to pull back to put a condom on.. it’s just what they say to do.
Once you’re having sex you’ll soon know if it’s uncomfortable.. I can promise you that one of my friends definitely doesn’t complain it’s uncomfortable, we’ve had many discussions cos I couldn’t see how it was ok but if it’s what you’re used to and it doesn’t hurt then it’s fine .
Any concerns I would honest go see your GP they have seen it all before

Your friend uses condom? If yes, he puts on the skin, without retracting it? I will try that, but seems a hard thing to do.

There’s lots of people that don’t retract before putting it on.

You can try stretching exercises once or twice a day while hard. This can help to easily retract when hard.

You can try it under the shower when you are hard. For some reason it retracts more easily when wet. You may not mange to do it at first - stop when it's painful. But usually after doing it a few days or weeks you should progressively be able to do it without pain.

Hey what's your age? I have the same problem, I can retract the skin easily when soft, but I can't pull it more than the head when hard.

Btw I think that he meant pull back the skin when the dixk is soft.

Have u tried retracting soft first and then get hard?

You could try stretching when hard so that you can retract easier. Just be sure to do it slowly and take it easy and stop if and when it hurts. After a while with stretching you should be able to retract fine.

I think they meant that you should do it when your penis is flaccid (soft). I can fully retract my foreskin while my penis is flaccid, but I can only retract a little bit when my penis is erect (hard), and it just unretracts itself after a few seconds while erect. (I couldn't retract my foreskin at all before I was in puberty, and only became able to do so around age 12.5.) As an uncircumcised boy goes through puberty, he will eventually become able to retract his foreskin fully while he has an erection, and later on, his foreskin will start retracting itself automatically whenever his penis becomes erect, and will unretract itself when his erection ends and his penis becomes flaccid again.
