Hello, This is my first post so bear with me:
Who else owns a chomebook, if so do you like it?
I am the proud owner of an HP Chromebook X360 11 G1 EE and absolutely love Google Chrome OS (I am a Google Sheep).
What are your opinions on the platform?

I don’t own a Chromebook, but I have a Chromebook from school. It is a 2015 model Dell Chromebook 11.
I personally think it is very limited in software, as most software developers don’t make a Chrome OS version of their software (due to limitations in what Chrome OS can run).
But due to compatibility restrictions, they seem to work good for use in schools, since it is more difficult to bypass admin’s restrictions. But, pretty much everyone in our school knows how to circumvent most restrictions anyways.

As an inexpensive laptop solely for accessing the web? It's great. As something I would want to use as a daily driver, not so much. Fortunately I've heard that newer versions are beginning to allow more native Linux software and applications to be used, which definitely expand the uses of Chrome devices, however if given the choice between it and a regular laptop, I'll choose a regular laptop every day.

Chromebooks are a little limited. It feels like a flip phone that you give to kids who aren’t ready for a smart phone yet... I don’t know the real life application of a chromebook except for schools which need to restrict what a laptop can do

And schools use them because they are cheap, so it's better to give a 4th grade student a Chromebook rather than a more expensive laptop.

Back in the day I had a Google CR-48 Chromebook.
Oh how I miss that computer.
