Is there anyone who was circumcised when older and can remember his surgery? For those of you who were circumcised under local anesthesia: How did the shots for anesthesia feel like? Was the surgery itself painful?

I would also be interested in how long the healing took for you and how the circumcision changed masturbationen. Is it bettet now or before?

I was circumcised when older. The doctor froze me. I was awake. The needles themselves were painful (it took several until I couldn't feel anything at all) but after a few seconds, I couldn't feel any pain except pressure when the doctor started cutting.

Boners were absolute hell.
After a day or so it honestly looked like it was chewed by a dog with the swelling and bruising.
Pissing had to be done sat down or it went everywhere.
Stitches made it feel like it was pulling the whole time then kinda itches as it healed
Swelling started to go after about 4 days then went down quick.
By the time the stitches were dissolving it started to look healthy.
Slept with a ice pack to put in my dick if I felt a boner.
Once the stitches had gone it was tender and my helmet took a while to get used to being exposed and rubbing etc.
First wank was weird and I jizzed like never before haha (10-11 days was a longggggg time)
It took a while to really settle and the scar to soften but I think it looks ok now and yeah I guess I’m happy with it..

I was circumcised at birth so I've never known any difference, But I know I always wondered what it must feel like to all of a sudden ALWAYS have your entire glans exposed, when you're both soft or hard, and rubbing against everything that it almost never rubbed against before.
(I dunno if the mods would go for it, but I'd love to know more about how that very first wank went, from start to finish.)

Local anesthesia for me. The needles hurt a lot of course, but during the operation itself I didn't feel. That's the point of anesthesia by the way :D

Is there some medical reason why they'd do one over the other, or is it just the surgeons preference? Or did they give you the option of which anaesthetic you wanted?

I didn't even know there is different styles and methods. I just assumed the doc just pulls the skin and gives a scissor shot and it lasts like 5 seconds lol

Wow... I'm not sure I would be able to lie there for that long, knowing that someone had a knife down there. I'd be terrified of sneezing at the wrong moment or something.

I actually meant local vs general anaesthetic though. How come some people get one vs the other?

I think some people just like the 'no skin' look, but also the tight skin thing. I had a problem with tight foreskin and I really don't want to get cut, but I might have to. I'm really bummed about it so I'm taking my time with it.

Damn, man. That sucks. I wouldn't want to part with mine but I guess that's because I don't have problems with it. I'd make sure to try things like stretching exercises and other options before going all out. You don't want to rush into losing something that you can't get back.

I wouldn't do it during the summer, because that means you can't go swim in the sea or at the swimming pool, and in the first weeks it stings and you feel the rubbing against your underpants, so its not really comfortable. I guess its better to do it when you can stay home 2-3 weeks or have only lottle activity or sport

I am circumcised and as far as I know I was circumcised at birth. I love being circumcised. I don't have to deal with the tight foreskin problem, I don't have to peel the foreskin every time I pee, it's easier to keep clean, don't have to worry about infections and stuff if not kept clean enough, one less thing to get checked during physicals, and I've heard the circumcision operation hurts less when done at a younger age vs being a teen or adult. Here in the southern US, as far as I know, all the penises I've seen in person we're all circumcised.

Wouldn't the summer be optimal? (other than doing it as a baby because you can't do much as a baby) I get the swimming but you wouldn't have to go to school uncomfortable, and you wouldn't get behind on schoolwork.

Yes. THIS is something I wondered before too.
The glans is THE MOST private and personal part of a boy's body. Covered constantly except for when he is getting very personal with somebody (or himself!!) and it must feel shocking not to have that 'protection" any longer all of the sudden.

To me (cut), the glans is the defining part of a penis. I like it always being outside, like the whole point of the shaft is to hold the head out there. I think you'll get used to it very quickly and never look back.
