Never been on a date at 16, normal ?

Haven't been on there for a while and it's really cool to see all of you again <3
So I'm a 16 years old (and like a half) guy in highschool and I've never dated anyone in my life. But like I've never even been on a date...

I try to, but people just don't seem to like me.

So I was wondering, is it normal ? Is it the case for any of you ?
Or do you think it might mean something is wrong about me ? (Im pretty ugly, I have a horrible accent, I'm kind of a nerd and my social skills aren't the best, tho I try to improve them)

I'd say it sounds pretty normal, you certanatly an't the only one, I'm 15 and i've never been on a physcal date, although i have had several online relationships.

I doubt there's something wrong with you, you just havn't found the right person yet

I agree, I’m 16 too and I’ve never been on a date. So I guess it’s pretty normal. I’m sure there will be someone out there who’s just as nerdy & has an interesting accent too. :) Don’t lose hope :)

Its tough not to feel down about it sometimes and I am in the same position too but it will be even more special when it happens.
TBH ( and maybe its jealousy) but nI think kids who go on dates real young like 11 year olds are moree like playing a game of being all grown up rarher than real love especially as they split up after a couple of days.

I am in the same situation as you, and I'm 16. I'm not even sure about my sexuality hahaha, so I guess is normal.

negative. We all have accents so
get that out of ur mind. Ugly no.
U may think so but its whats on
the inside that counts. Maybe it
is normal for some not to have a
date at 16 but that's doesn't mean
that u have to stop looking and to
think that there is something wrong.
Find someone who is keeping to them
selves at school and say hi. U have to
break the ice with someone in order for
them to get to know u and c where it will
go. Im sure there r many others who feel
the same as u do. Don't call urself ugly-its
too nasty of a word.

Hey mate it’s completely fine to be going the way you’re going. It’s perfectly normal not to be going on dates in high school. Although it may seem like many people are dating in high school, like adamant said above (I can’t say I’m innocent from doing this) but they focus on a lot of relationships that aren’t so serious. These can come and go because people rush into things. You’re waiting for the right person to come along which is a great thing, instead of going through a bunch of relationships.

However, I believe confidence could play a role in this. If you’re not confident you may have some trouble dating, so go ahead and put yourself out there, but don’t do anything too crazy or anything that isn’t yourself. With all that, just don’t worry about it and take your time.

Its normal. I'm 17 and still haven't been on a real date
I went to the playground at 13 with a girl but I wouldn't call that a date. I mean we liked each other but we weren't dating
