Anyone see the press release pretty kool. But I can’t afford it at $2000 US.

It’s not my cup of tea. I cannot see any useful value one would get out of it that a current smartphone or tablet can’t do.
Also the wear and tear of the hinge or crease where the screen folds and opens X amount of times, if there’s screen damage in the display after a few years.
People are going to be mad if the spend 2K and 2 years later their is wear and tear along the bendy screen hinge area.

That's way too expensive for most people. Most of my friends break their phones like once a year and that's too much for the risk.

It looks pretty cool for a phone. Although even if I could afford it, which I can't, it probably wouldn't be my go to choice for a phone.

although it looks pretty cool and does quite a bit, there is no way I would pay as much money as they are asking for that phone -- and I can afford it -- its just ridiculous.

Yeah, too much money. When that technology is cheaper, I'll get it. Just wait. I'm pacient. If you want to be an early adopter, you have to spend a lot.

I see little value in a foldable phone like that one. It is bulky while not providing obvious interesting use-cases. For me, it's just a costly tech showcase.

It's a cool concept, but there really isn't much that it can do that you can't do with a tablet. Surely, you can't fit a tablet in your pocket, but the Fold is $2000 USD which is far beyond my budget if I were to buy a new phone.

Thats the whole problem! If you drop it or damage it how could you ever afford to replace it. Far too much of a risk
Have seen the adverts and it looks amazing but not sure i need the extra screen size and definitely cant afford it.

Yeah dropping it won't be a good idea. Hopefully it'll cost a bit less in a year or two. We'll see.

Nokia's are the best. I had one when I was 10, dropped it daily and it was still perfect.

Though it is a pretty cool concept for a foldable smartphone, it might be more worth it getting a tablet instead, even though it doesn't fit in your pocket.

It looks cool but it's too expensive. With that money I can get a high end phone, a good TV, a PS4 and probably something else.

I wouldn't buy it as is but hopefully it will spur on more interesting uses and reduced cost. But tbh I mostly just use my phone for Reddit, music and messaging - and use my PC or laptop for anything bigger - so I'm not really in the market for expensive phones or tablets.
