(Sorry if this is the wrong place.)
As you can tell from the title, I am uncircumcised. This doesn’t seem to be super common where I live (USA). So I was a bit curious about how it would effect dating life and the things that come with it. This is especially in part because it’s painful/uncomfortable to pull my foreskin back. So, how is it supposed to work I guess is the best way to word a question.

For the dating part, when you get the point where the other person is seeing your dick as long as its clean they shouldn't mind. It is more common to be uncut where I live but still I've never been in a situation or heard of someone where the girl stops and leave just because of an uncircumcised penis.
As for the other part, the head of an uncircumcised penis is more sensitive and it can be uncomfortable when the foreskin is pulled back if you are not use to it.

Strangely I have found that there are people who don't even know what a foreskin is!

Sounds like you have phimosis if you can't retract. I highly recommend getting circumcised. American women generally find foreskin disgusting.

Sounds like you may have a medical issue. I recommend seeing a doctor about it. I don't think it's supposed to hurt.

If you mean "getting circumcised" (or going to a doctor) because of the inability to retract, I agree.
If you mean "getting circumcised" because American women find foreskin disgusting, I disagree. If a woman doesn't want to be with you because you have a foreskin, that woman is not at all right for you.

You don't find the the circumcised penis more aesthetic? Also the public health benefits of circumcision are obvious.

No, they are very much not obvious. For more information: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2044647

reduced chances for STDs, Urinary tract infections and yeast infections for both parties?
I was circumcised in my early teen years and regret nothing about it. It feels better!

There is absolutely no consensus in the medical world whether circumcision helps reducing those issues, so the health benefits are not "obvious".
For every research that says that there IS a health benefit, there is a research that says that there is NO health benefit. But of course you have read all that in the link I provided.

That's your personal opinion, and that's totally fine. But I'm afraid your N=1 research has no statistical relevance.

People will only find foreskin disgusting if it's unwashed.

I'm not going to repeat the discussion I had. See the link I posted.
