we just watched this documentary on Netflix about how a 40yr old con man that abducts a 12yr old girl and convince her that aliens will kill her family unless she becomes pregnant by him.

This is a real life story that if it weren't true, nobody would believe it. Not only does the creepy guy abduct the girl, but after he is caught, he convinces her parents to drop charges, and the girl falls in love with the creepy guy that abducted her. She believes the whole alien story until she is 16. Her mother has an affair with the creep guy and her dad has one homosexual encounter with him.

Its one of the most bizarre true stories I have ever heard.

I am no expert, but in my pshyco9logy class we learned that some people are more easily manipulated than others. Kinda too trusting, don't have a healthy balance between being skeptical and trusting. The parents in this documentary were too trusting when they should questioning what they were being told. One example was the creepy guy told the parents that there daughter needs some kind of new "Cuddle therapy" and because they believed he was a doctor (he wasn't), they trusted him. He would come over and get in bed their daughter and give her "Cuddle therapy".... That is just weird, but they believed him and never thought it was weird.
