I need some advice on this complicated situation I got myself into.
So I met this one person while playing a game I like and we instantly clicked, we started hanging out in game and even talking on discord and that a lot when in school or doing other stuff. After a week or so we found a 2nd person in game and it became a group of 3 instead of just us two.
After awhile the 2nd person confessed their feelings for me, but I REALLY liked the first person. It got a bit awkward and I let them down easy and we stayed friends while telling them i really liked the first person. After around another week I find out that the 2nd person started going for the person i like. At this point me and the first person were literally spending the whole day just talking and hanging out. So it kind of hurt to know that after the 3rd person knew i liked the other one, they still tried hard to go for them.
I got to a point where I don't think I could play the game i liked without the first person because we spent so much time playing it together. So playing alone would just, feel wrong and hurt. Also found out the first one i met and liked also likes the 2nd person a lot. I tried asking out the 1st one but they just want to stay friends and kind of feel like I will lose them.
We've known each other for about a month or so and just kind of became attached, but with the 1st person liking the 2nd person and them liking the 1st one back. I feel like an awkward 3rd wheel now. But i like the 1st person to much to push away and not be close anymore. I honestly don't know what to do anymore, i know it probably seems stupid and that, but yeah it hurts a lot.
we're all still friends, though the 2nd person doesn't talk to me as much as they use to. So any advice would be very helpful!
