I'm gonna go out on a limb here and see if anyone on VT enjoys deathcore as much as I do. It's a bit of an umbrella term because often metalcore and death metal bands can be put under this stigma and vice versa. This genre was really popular back in 07-11 with Suicide Silence, Born of Osiris and BMTH leading the charge in terms of popularity, even though I definitely wouldn't call BMTH a deathcore band anymore. Deathcore is defined as being a fusion of death metal with metalcore breakdowns, but there is definitely more to it than that (you just have to listen to Vildhjarta to see that) and that definition probably hurts the scene more than promotes it.

So who are your favourite Deathcore band/s and album/s?

Mine would be:

Born of Osiris (TWDA and The Discovery)
Road To Ransome (Animus)
After The Burial (Wolves Within and In Dreams)
Breakdown of Sanity (Perception)
Bleed From Within (Uprising)
Volumes (VIA)
Veil of Maya
Circle of Contempt (Entwine The Threads EP)
Entities (Luminosity EP)
XVI
Vildhjarta (Masstaden)

Also early BMTH was kind of lame.

If you consider Beneath The Sky (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_op4I5OPJfA) a deathcore band, they would be my favourite
