I love to read. I'll read any genre! But I'd like to read more gay literature. Not necessarily erotica but about gay lives/relationships etc. Has anybody read anything that they enjoyed?

Not really gay stuff but I really liked Simon vs. the Homo Sapien Agenda, did you read that?
Up for a reading group?

I'm reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower as we speak! Recently read Call Me By Your Name after I saw the movie. The book is beautiful!

Puberty for Boys  The Open Book
If you're looking for m/m literature: Have you read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz? Fantastic book. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan? (or anything else by David Levithan, I think.)
Other LGBT literature or literature with significant LGBT themes I've read and could recommend (all of which is about women or is skewed towards femininity, since that's mostly what I read):
Pretty much anything by Sarah Waters AFAIK
Redefining Realness by Janet Mock
The Price of Salt (AKA Carol) by Patricia Highsmith
Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family by Amy Ellis Nutt. (This is about the girl who's set to be on Supergirl, by the way!)
Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel
I Am J by Cris Beam
The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy (be forewarned it's also heavily political, but she's a fantastic author)
Literature with LGBT themes that are less significant:
Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight
The Color Purple by Alice Walker (which is incredible, you should read it anyway!)
The Girls by Emma Cline
Eon & its sequel, Eona by Alison Goodman
Here (https://www.goodreads.com/genres/lgbt?original_shelf=gay-and-lesbian) is Goodreads' category for LGBT literature, which can be broken up into further subcategories such as gay, queer, lesbian, or bisexual. There are plenty more categories though, take a look for yourself. There are also plenty of user-made lists that narrow it down further.

I guess if I had to choose I'd say lesbian or bisexual just because that's most relevant to me, but I'll happily read anything :D
