I posted awhile back about my gf and her eating problems. She broke up with me cause I told her family but i thought she might come back. I just found out she has a new boyfriend. I tried really hard to do the right thing and i tried really hard to show that i really loved her and now im alone and shes with another guy. What was the point? I just want a nice girl who cares about me like i care about her

Sorry about that. Sometimes these things just happen, even when youve done the right thing. Try and look at it as she has lost you. Id love to say that the first person we meet is the one. Its possible that by the time we have grown up we could be with the same girl or boy. We could have had several partners. You are now free. There are other girls out there

You did it for the right reasons, and her reaction says you were expendable and that a big motivating factor in keeping you around was for show and internal emotional validation not love or a genuinely healthy relationship.

Beware of that dynamic in the future, especially once sex and the emotions it causes, enters the picture. I’ve seen both guys and girls heads messed up or both especially when another mental health condition is also influencing the situation.
